  • What... why am I crying? Am I crying because of a little girl's singing?

  • This is the type of singing we have lost in the West due to commercial pop being pumped out.

  • Lets hope she never lost that voice so damnly sweet

  • Bravo. Bravo. Lovely singing

  • Don't understand the language at all, but her little voice is wonderful! And I can feel the emotion coming out from all of them. Very nice!

  • Greetings from Indiana, United States of America.

Seeing as my heritage is Eastern Russia and Poland, I enjoy listening to Slavonic musical works. Great work by the choir, musicians, and of course the lead singer. A beautiful song about a terrible concept, that of war.

  • eto prosto prikol'no..

  • Love Russian and other Eastern European Music in general. The little kids did a great job! Also, they are adorable!

    Greetings from America.

  • You have to love Russia

  • no it is not RUSSIAN comrade...it is russian imperial impact on CENTRAL ASIAN people

  • GREAT MUSIC even though i cant understand what the hell they are saying...

  • I`ve allways liked this song. Beautiful melody. Points from Finland

  • In any language that's quite a talent that little girl has!

  • Very nice! Is this recording after the end of Soviet Union? Looks like that's "Russia" written in the right-top logo.

  • Stalin on the tambourine

  • In cuba we listended this song every day-- nice moemories

  • Vraiment superbe! Les costumes sont magnifiques!

  • The little girl is so cute!!!

  • great!

  • what is the second song?

  • this child is dressed like cossack women 100 years ago, I believe a child will be dressed like her 100 years ahead, and singing so smart.

  • What is the first song?

  • @byeibo 1st song is Katyusha

  • That little girl stole my heart. She is simply too cute to believe.

  • Long may the Cossacks roam.

  • I cant believe this kid. amazing voice

  • awesome

  • can someone translate the words???

  • SERBIJA DO TOKIJA

    Privet iz Serbie

  • wat's the 2nd song?

  • Holy crap that girl can sing!

  • ...and until people can get their history straight, everyone needs to stop arguing and enjoy the music.

  • Wow, lots of arguments whether this is Ukrainian or Russian. Hey, it's both. The song is Katyusha, a Russian song, so obviously the words are Russian. The kids are from the Kuban children's choir. Kuban is in Russia today, and the Kuban Choir is Russian. However, historically there is not much difference. The Kuban Cossacks are descended from the Zaporozhian Cossack Host from the Dnieper region, in Ukraine. In the 1790's Catherine the Great gave them Kuban; and many moved there.

  • Wonderful video. Colourful, cultural and beautifully rendered folk music in concert. Sweetly and confidently sung with much gusto by lovely children's choir. Thank you for this great effort. 10 out of 10 in my book!

  • Regarding the Ukrainian/Russian question - the moderator clearly introduces the group as Kuban Cossacks, in Russia. Cossacks don't tend to differentiate Ukrainian/Russian as they were together for roughly 3 centuries and prior to the intervening Polish-Lithunian Empire the capital of Rus was Kiev.

  • This was great choir music. The children were terrific. Just love to hear other cultures where children are talented.

  • @augurey14 How it might look ukrainian??? By the way, there is no one ukrainian word here

  • @augurey14 - yea, right. katiusha is surely an ukrainian song. lol, moron. and kuban is in ukraine, huh? well, in that regard, texas is in mexico, isn't it?

and how does it sound ukrainian to you? do you speak russian or ukrainian?

  • Very Nice!!!

  • @14Srb88 maybe can be a Nazi, but he say the reality..

read on wikitravel, Russia "stay safe"

"However, racially motivated crimes are on rise in Russia, and it may present problems to people with non-Slavic/Northern European appearance, including people from the Caucasus and people of African, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Asian descent. "

ps: I am not a Nazi

pps: ..and I'm Italian ,not Russian ;D

  • youtube.com/watch?v=YD-4gwf_9wA -- Another song of this young singer. Even better than this one, in my opinion.

    Katyn english substitles

  • @Radomirius

    And what?

  • This songs are beautiful. Many greetings my russian brothers from Czech Republic.

  • The little girls voice is already great... in a few years if she has developed it ever more she'll be singing like the angels <3

  • What's the difference between Кубанский Казачий Хор and Кубанского Казачего Хора?

  • @nilsuthor

No difference, same thing just....well itss hard to explain, you have to understand our language

  • @nilsuthor There are two cases in English (the Common Сase and the Possessive Case) but six cases in Russian.

Words in the phrases you are asking about are of the different cases.

"John is singing a song. We all can hear John's voice."

    So

  • @1960sergei Thanks a million for such a clear and precise answer. I wish I could speak Russian.

  • This girl is awesome!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Greetings from Ukraine. Cossacks know no boundaries.

  • anyone know the first song?

  • @EightTheOrchard it is KATIUSHA!!!

  • Hey, everyone, Lenin is the conductor. Long live Lenin, literally.

  • its always nice to see russians enjoying Ukrainian culture

  • @iBox87, they aren't singing about oranges, the "greatest" contribution to "culture" that the Ukraine has had to offer in the last 20 years or so.

  • @spartaknumerouno i dont think anyone remembers the last time russia has contributed to anything good, as for the oranges- that was very witty

  • @iBox87, your memory lapse is unfortunate - perhaps you need to get out more. Still, I thank you for the compliment.

  • I love russian music even im fro finland.

I think our music is much the same

  • I love russian songs, excellent performance! This concert is in world class. Greetings from Slovakia!

  • How long ago was this video recorded? That little girl has such a spine-tinglingly wonderful voice that I wonder did she go on to perform later (no matter if she didn't: this video alone is a monument to her young talent!). The "backing" singers, too, are magnificent in their "chin-up" full-throatedness. This video is a real tribute to the greatness of Ukrainian/Russian singing.

  • How great does little girl sounds? She's just incredible!!

My jaw dropped on the floor...

  • NO COMMENT ! ! ! = )

  • very nice !!! Russia forever in my heart and mind !! no place like russia !!!

  • Love the little girl singing. Very cute, with awesome voice.

  • what is that giant triangular instrument that the man is using?

  • Its a base balalaika. Balalaika is a traditional Russian instrument

  • Katyusha is the first song, but whats the second?

  • You and me are Cossacks' translation (found the same song on a difrent clip)

  • Rastsvetali yabloni i grushi,

    Poplyli tumany nad rekoy;

    Vykhodila na bereg Katyusha,

    Na vysokiy bereg, na krutoy.

    Vykhodila, pesnyu zavodila

    Pro stepnogo sizogo orla,

    Pro tovo kotorogo lyubila,

    Pro tovo chyi pisma beregla.

  • I hope live to go to Russia, because I live in Tijuana, Mexico, where I live is a crime infested shithole, all you can expect is getting mugged, stabbed robed, raped, killed, bla bla bla... BUT one of this days, I will visit you Mother Russia, MARK MY WORDS, some day I will go to Russia...

  • haha and you think russia is better?

  • @Polack21

    In some ways, yes

    In Russia, cop kills criminal

    In Mexico, criminal kills cop

-Inspired from Yakov Smirnoff's Soviet Russia jokes

  • jaja asi es, tienes razon, pinche mexicanos

  • @Polack21

    hahaha! si

the only thing that I am glad for being mexican is for the food and some traditions

  • @Russiarules1 You know, i hear, even nowadays in russia, those things are pretty high on the "things liking to happen to you every day" list

  • @Russiarules1 Yeah, I don't think you're gonna get much in Russia. I'd love to go too, but every one I know who is from there, has been there, etc. says do not go unless you know someone, have a guide, or speak Russian

  • @Stagolee22

Well, right now I am learning Russian, I can barely readi it but I dont understand the words, well only some of them

  • @Russiarules1

Well no offense man, but I don't think it is very safe for Maxican to live in Russia. Russia is also full of crime, and they dislike people with darker skin.

    Go rather to USA.

  • @Russiarules1

    Getafuck too Korea or china

  • @Radomirius

why do you insult korean people?

    tell me the reason.

    i'm sure you're a skinhead.

stupid terrorist in russia without any knowledge about the world..

    don't be a stupid pig.

  • Are you Russian ? Better dont come to Russia if your not Russian or at least white...

  • @14Srb88

Don't worry, I am REALLY white, I don't even look mexican.

By the way, I would preffer to get killed in Russia, not in Mexico

  • Hahah okay then :D You probably wont get killed..

  • @14Srb88 Is that an advert for the Russian Tourist industry? "Come to Russia.. well if you are white and ..er..you might no get killed.. but that's a maybe." Can't think why they haven't used it so far.

  • :D Im not Russian,Im Serb..and Im not trying to influence russian tourism in a bad way,Im just giving a friendly advice.. ;)

  • @14Srb88 I know, only kidding. BTW Kosovo is Serbian, those drug running KLA bandits willl make a pirate paradise. I might move there. :-)

  • Kosovo is Serbian and those thugs will get cleansed as soon nato moves out....

  • @Russiarules1 My friend. :P . I think you will be dissappointed to find just an Asiatic version of Tijuana :))))) .

  • @sharadowasdr

Yes, I would be extremely disappointed.

    Why do you say that?

  • @Russiarules1

How you think Russia is any different from your description of Tijuana? In my experience Russia == Tijuana based into your description...

  • @svaanur

    Damn.

At least my only hope is the weather, not a semi-desertic craphole.

Anyway, I know some things about the most popular places of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, etc.) but I do not plan to go to a popular place, I just want to go somewhere like Kaliningrad or a small village of Siberia. I'm not really interested to live in Moscow (Like you said, it is almost the description of Tijuana)

    Thanks, anyway

  • @Russiarules1 If Mexicans really want change, they should elect a communist government. Communists never tolerate drug-dealing or any other form of crime. When Castro became president of Cuba, crime went down by 90% in a year. Same thing in Venezuela and China. I recemtly visited Israel and there is no crime at all there, apart from very rare terrorist attacks by palestianians. Israeli government do not call themselves communists, but they are. Russia has more crime since the end of the USSR.

  • @SeniorSuperstud Israeli government is communist? Dude, at least do you know what communism is? A government cannot be communist. Even if you mean "socialism", Israel is very far from being socialist. Just because Jewish people were victims of European fascism, it doesn't mean that a Jewish state is communist.

  • @Antarktikali communist, socialist there is not diffrence...

  • @SeniorSuperstud It is common to love communism when you have not been forced to live under it. If you have lived under it, then you are part of the Elite. Elite is present in every society. No easy answer: "Choose The Lesser of Evils." I am a very old man-seen a lot. You show to have no idea about Communist China (check Cultural Revolution). There is no space here to add further comments. I am afraid you will have to study harder (at least Google it). You are too biased (blinds you badly).
  • @SeniorSuperstud What has this to do with this song?

  • @Russiarules1 be easy victor reznov :).

  • @svenred7

    Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha!

    I didn't see that coming...

    Anyway... RUSSIA 2018!

Hope I'm still alive to go to Russia's World Cup

  • @Russiarules1 never mind, that was a good speech.
