@sarinoah Get the .tsi for it. load .tsi under controller managament. Then open all ports. make sure you load and save your presets though in your editor.

I have gotten pretty decent at mixing in virtual dj and almost to the point where doing sets and and transitions actually have a slight professional sound :D but it just doesn't have a professional feel or look so i just bought this and im hoping this will make my dj'ing experience all the better. i bought this, then found out that it lights up and i am so excited. i just hope its as easy as i think to be able to program in vdj and use this to controll all differnet paramaters. any tips?

i figured out the setting for fl studio. You just gotta click rescan audio devices and choose the lpd8 (usb audio). but for traktor pro I have no clue how to set the cue points or assign anything to my pads the audio settings are so confusing. Any help here

well, how i see it is that in the future everything is more based on live mixing with hardware like the tr 909 or other drum computers and synths. It's happening right now, dj's can only distinct theirselves by editing live.

@tranjohn Akai is built to last and an industry standard. A lot of people have complained about dead pads.As for the "mouse pad thingy", have you ever played with a Kaoss pad by Krog? Really shitty product. for controlling effects and such or whatever, knobs really are the best. plus on the akai you can control 8 assignments at once versus a crap maxi pad. =/ Get the akai man, better product, built to last.
