can somebody help me out im considering a new sled probably around 500-600, good reliable and fun for powder and jumping. im a bombardia guy. i have the 340 indy and i cant stand it i took my friends mxz 600ho for a spin and couldnt get enough of it. im looking for probably a 2004/2005. options are, mxz500ss, mzx550f, mxz600ho or possibly a 380 but that wouldnt be much of an upgrade from a indy 340

@elmosmontage Nice man , I ride a 1986 phazer 480 fan and it can climb good it has a DG psi pipe , I also ride my grandpas 500 liqid cooled turbo phazer it climbs great . But the point is keep up the riding and to you to Pdotsledding.

@OhHiImGay these sleds are all race sleds with the exception of one of them but it has big money into the suspension. If you wanna piss around like what you see in the video a 440 or 600 race sled is the only way to go. Even buying a consumer sled and upgrading the shocks doesn't get you a sled that's as tough (chassis-wise) as a race sled

@racefan8815 For power obviously anything with an 800 is the way to go, but a 440 or 600 race sled can take far more abuse than any 800 (unless its an 800 mod racer). Power isn't as big of an issue over here in the flatlands as in the mountains haha.

Is in an XCR 440? Like a 97 or 98 race chassis? If so those frickin things are sweet. My friend has one with a Rotax 670/735 MOD engine, geared down and spinning a fully studded 1" track. Fackin thing wheelies all day. Good Fox shocks too, it can take a bump...;)

Id say to get an Arctic cat lxr 800 or 500, the lxr models suspension is set up for a good trail ride. And they are both fast sleds.

hm...off trail riding.. you could look for a f7 sno pro..1 3/8 track. or a 600 summit for ski doo.. if you really want a powder ride, try to find a crossfire 700, with a 1.5 track.. most have 1 3/8 though, but someone mght have stuck a powder track on...you dont really want a sno pro, or a mxzx, even if trail converted because, lake running wouldnt be the bestm and there like 10miles per galon max im pretty sure, ridin hard.

@blakemallay get a arctic cat crossfire 600 efi, can't fawel plugs and they float on snow no matter how soft it is. my friend has one, he took a jump into 5 ft. of powder and he poped right up and only sunk down about 4 inches. he also does a lot of trail riding anf usually goes 115 with no problem, he also does a shit load of offtrail and lakes

you should be fine, the race sleds are valced very stiff, and worse case you could get them rebuilt and revalved ( i suggest no matter what size you are, improves the ride by 10000%)

as for the motor, itll be lacking, a guy of stature will prolly benefit from a nice 600 race sled or even a consumer trail sled, i assume you want to ditch bang with your sled too??

well right now i currently ride my dads xc800 and its set up for trails it doesnt even have bar risers. im 15 years old and ready to do other shit. well more comfortably anyway. but can boondock and been doing alot of water crossing and shit like that. but im just thinking bout a regular trail sled and set it up how i want it. like 6 inch risers with rsi bars or protaper and shit.

You should look into a 440/600 MOD. I'm 225lbs and I find 440's just don't cut it. As for the suspension you should be fine.
