  • too much delay..u should adjust the delay

  • What crate amp are you using?

  • I'm using here the Crate GTX 65 dude ;)

    Tom.

  • Nice! I really like your playing and sound.. I guess a Crate amp is a really great alternative to a Vox :) Nice Epiphone btw... Good Gibson tone in there. I saw on another of your video that your strat is a Squier =P what model is it precisely? standard?

  • So, in fact the main part of my U2 sound isn't coming from this Crate amp but more from the Korg A3 (that's a rack unit that The Edge use...). Yes the Epiphone have the Gibson sound almost (even I never changed the picks lOl). Yes my Strat is only a Squier it's a Squier Stratocaster Affinity (built in 2005~) ;)

  • You were lucky then =P Cause thats one damn good sounding Affinity Strat. Have you tried using your gear with a different amp? I'm not sure if it's just the A3 giving that nice tone, It might also be your amp =P

  • Yes, I wish I was lucky cause this Strat is sounding awsome that's sure!! Hmmm in fact I just use the clean channel of the amp and then all the rest is from the A3 (Comp, Reverb, Delay...) so I think you just have to get a Amp of about 60watts with a nice clean sound then get an A3 and you will almost have my sound if you are good in settings =P

  • I'm not sure about something, is your GTX65 solid state or tube amp? (I'm thinking its tube XD)

  • Hehe I was sure you was thinking that haha!!

No, you think wrong, this Crate GTX65 is a solid state amp there not any tubes in it, I only bought it with 295€ ;)

  • I tell you, I was 100% sure it was tubed XD

Anyways, thanks for the chat ;) keep on U2ing dude! Take care.

    Dan

  • which one is the better? - your epiphone or your fender?

  • It really depend of the song you want to play... ;)

    Tom.

  • hi thanks for your answer!

which of those guitar will be better for classic rock, punk, pop-rock, jazz? (= not metal..)

i'm going to buy one of this guitars soon. when ill be at the guitars store i will play on both guitars and than i'll decide, but still, i'm looking for others opinion

    =]

  • No way, just take the Les Paul ofc ;)

    Tom.

  • ok =] i'll try them both and i will let you know what i chose!

    thanks again :D

  • He is more important than the guitars, talking about music ;)

Keep playing Tom, that solo sounds good!

  • Cheap guitar or not, it sounds fantastic. Makes me want to dig my old guitar out and try it myself.

  • Look yes the guitar is cheap but the most of my sound is from the Korg A3 and the Boss SD-1, then today when i listen this solo, I just see that now I have a better preset for this solor, but much better ...

  • what guitar is that ? it's nice...

  • Just a cheap one^

Much people ask e if it's an American Strat, so I just answer them that's a Squier from China Oo hehe

  • great work sounds pretty close any chance of a tab?

  • Thanks, no one good tab exist for this solo, you should try to do it by your hear ;)

  • Thank you :p

  • NICE JOB MAN :D
