It gives extra luggage room so, when you're taking your soaking wet supermodel to the beach, you don't have to put the basket in her lap all the way down there. Or to go somewhere without having your crew following you with your gear, alternatively driving around in a large trailer, which is considerably more boring than a super car. Besides the roof box is detachable. Just store it in the hotel room or whatever.
