we all know that meryl is gonna get alteast one more oscar, they honorary oscar that they give people who been in the business for a long time. i always get so moved when the old people walk out to achieve their oscar's and all the audience rise. it´s so moving. if they could they would give it to her every year, suppose that´s why they keep nominating her to show her they still appreciate her work to the fullest. i loved meryl sincei was a kid and watched the house of the spirits.

Oscars are now the disgrace and simply nothing but a popularity contest. I mean Jennifer Hudson over rinko kikuchi and adriana barraza?? sandra bullock in the blind side over Meryl in Julie and Julia? common now, you've got to be kidding me. The Oscars have lost all their dignity.

Haha... I love her.

She's so brave, I dunno if I'd handle losing all the time so well.

I remember her saying once that it's hard and she kinda wished sometimes that she wasn't nominated at all, because being nominated and losing feels worse than not being nominated at all.

So at times, she is just being brave.

But we all know she doesn't need an award to prove how great she is.

She's just amazing.

I am still ssoooo bitter and I dont know how to move on with my life. Of all people, why Sandra's role on the Blind Side? If it was Sandra's role in While You were Sleeping, I would have felt better. But the Blind Side role was so Eva Brokowitz like even Jennifer Aston could have played it with the same vigor. I am befuddled and I think will be bitter for a long time. The question is can just anyone play Julia Child? Dont think so --so there!!!

On the TV in the UK, they're all going on about how it was "The Brits Oscars" because of Slumdog Millionaire and Kate Winslet.

I think I'm the only person in the UK who was dissapointed that Kate won it!

i know i think we where all a bit sad and mad. i know this sounds childish but i used to be mad at kate for taking away meryl's awards lately. but now after last night, i relised that it's not kates fault that meryl didn't win. and kate was very kind to meryl. theres even pictures of kate letting meryl holf her oscar. i really really really would have loved meryl to win but like xochicago said i can't wait to see her win her 5th. and i know she will. haha thank you so much, cheering up is deff needed after last night. kate was very very respectful of Meryl in her speech though, so that was good on her part :) They're already saying Meryl's in for next year in Julie and Julia, so just keep them coming Meryl and soon enough we'll see her win her 3rd and 4th and 5th hopefully. I would looove to see her win her 5th oscar, beating everyone's record. she deserves it, by far.
