I was totally shocked about the sudden death of Solomon Burke. I could not believe it, because I met him last year in March personal. I knew Solomon since many years and he was for me not just any man or friend, no, he was something very special for me. I thank everyone, who sending some Videos from him to this chanel. Please don`t forget Solomon and his music. He was the only King of Soul. Best wishes and don` forget Solomon's words: You're not alone.

Solomon Burke is a legend. He is long on years, but whatever has been lost in the richness of his tone is more than made up for with the richness of his experience. Patty Griffin will be a legend before too long for her writing and singing. This is a beautiful crossing in space and time.

I LOVE Patty's version and I like this one, too. Mr. Burke is authentic, singing from his soul. Listen to how Patty chimes in.. it's like church bells. "I love you so... that peaceful mountain, just over the valley."
