@PigCanFly1 - He's not just breaking it in half, I think the heat is one thing and pressure inside the bottle after it's submerged is the other necessary factor, so it's a cool little bit of what you can do with simple physics. In fact I'm sure we could think of a way to do this to a large glass window or wall if you don't want to make a lot of noise breaking in to some place. Hmm.

its not cutting the bottle, its simply applying heat to the outside of the bottle so that the glass suddennly starts moving really fast so that when you put it in water the matter moving really fast slows down immediately and splits apart or makes it really hard to connect with the rest of the bottle because of the sudden temperature change. just simple science.
