  • The name of this game sounds like a bad porn movie.

  • the sound of punchs remember me Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies XD bad sound...

The game was decent, many ways better and playable than the first Body Blows, but the Amiga had some beat'em ups superior to this (for example Shadow Fighter by NAps Team)

  • puppet was fuckin scary back then...

    brrr

  • "come on you BOI! "

  • 2:28-Feminion? Wow...who'd have thought that you would fight women on that planet? And Kai-ti didn't even wear more than a one-piece swimsuit. That's kinda lazy, isn't it?

  • It was all about KOSSAK and NINJA ^_^

  • This really blows. Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat were much better IMHO. Luckily Team 17 made Worms.

  • The character "design" is more than ridiculous...

  • Had this for CD32: Remember the cheesy endlines to this day - 17 years later. Best one was the construction or office worker who would say "I'm sorry about that" having just nailed your ass.

  • amiga 500 version...i have!!!!

  • Hehe spam-fest... I love it

  • Lazer was a FREAK! Awesome music & game !

  • I haved this on my Amiga :D This game have very good music :)

  • Man, whoever did this should show this to the Angry Video Game Nerd, if it is that bad. I'd like to see him cuss this game out!

  • @DBoy2029 There are worse games, believe me :-P . When it comes to control and gameplay this one is ok. He should review Platoon for the Amiga, it pisses everyone off!

  • Ah the floods of Street Fighter wannabes. To be honest I found Masters of Combat on the SMS one of the finest street fighter clones at the time.

  • o... I played it on pc... quite a lame attempt from the west.

Even the sound effects are kinda lame 70's hollywood

  • Ale to była swego czasu zajebista bijatyka! Zawsze miałem problem, bo jeden dysk mi się nie odpalał i nigdy nie mogłem sobie w to pograć... Piękne czasy A500... :)

  • YEs. i played this at A600 too, with no AGA.

    jocs

  • Hahahahaha! "Finger Press!"

    :D

  • Would it be amazing if Body Blows would have turned into cartoon series?

Not some kid stuff, but real fighting action show. :D

  • wasnt the dinosaur farting after win?

  • doesn't Azona know you can't use hover boards on water (unless you've got power that is)

  • That guy sure knows how to throw a punch.

  • Oh god i remember this. Back on my a500 in my basement, where my dad hooked up the sound to four huge speakers hanging on the walls all over. It was an epic experience.

  • I remeber me and my friends used to sit down and play this! I alwas wondered what kai-ti said when she won?

    Dragon was qite fun!

  • Wait, what, Junior?

    Why not Kai-Ti?

  • the bodyblows series wasnt too bad back in the day, it was the best beat em up on the amiga tho

    it hasnt aged well

  • Shadow Fighter was probably AS good if not better, but honestly it was slim pickin's for Amiga Fighting Fans.

I mean what were the other choices? a terrible port of SF2 and Elfmania!

  • lol there wasnt any other choices was there

i did enjoy mortal kombat on the amiga tho

  • Lol i love this game, best fighting game ever!

    FINGAPRESS!

  • It's still a decent fighter despite everything mentioned.

  • danny>all

  • ARE YOU MAD?! This game was legendary!!! fuk SF2. it was more advanced and came later n shit, but it aint got nothing on BB

  • I agree completely - I had every Amiga and they could not and did not pull SF2 off on the Commdore (remember the floppy disc version where you had to chage the disc 8 times every time you started a new fight ffs?) This was more awesome in every way

  • junior's cry is awesome...

  • Ah Warra..the most useless char ever :p

  • those ar some cool punch

    sfx

  • The first Bodyblows game was the one i owned back in the day. I really want to own the bodyblows games. If anybody knows how, please link me somehow :)

  • Original: Ebay

    Download: planetemu net

  • Just download WINUAE for amiga, its emulator, you can play all amiga games!

  • I enjoyed this more then Streetfighter on Amiga really.

  • Thanks for uploading this.. havent seen it for ages.

  • Warra kept saying 'how do you do that'

  • Always sounded like "Maximum tuesday" to me. Granted, I have no idea what the crap that means, but....

  • I remember this game... Danny's voice sounds hilarious.

  • Is this the A500 or A1200 version?

  • Galactic was AGA only!

  • Really? I had it on the A500 & a mate had it on A600!

  • Seems like there was indeed an A500 version, but this recording is A1200 one :)

  • @cubex55 - No, this looks like the A500 version....

  • @cubex55 I played it on A600 with no AGA so maybe there was a no AGA version too

  • @RolexTharsus- This looks like the A500 version....

  • Even though this game may not have been as good as the original, I would still have bought it just to play as the new characters (no matter how bad some of them are lmao) and listen to the good music soundtrack.

  • You have to keep it real, this game is terrible. However Shadow Fighter was superb for the time and makes me proud to have owned an Amiga.

  • wasn';t too bad.. a little stiff. However it keeps up with Team 17's great music... sorry about the thumbs down i clicked the wrong button!

  • Azona is so broken LOL. I could definitely play some solid "Keep-away" with her.

  • THE MUSIC IS SO PERFECT !!!!!!!!!! loved the intro as i was a kid

  • OMFG you are the shit cubex55! I was looking for that game for soooo long (since I sold my a600 ages ago). Thx!

  • i love the sound track fuck new music

  • Puppet was a weird character.

  • Yeah, Puppet was weird... yet funny to use XD

  • I had played the original Body Blows on my IBM PS1 and thought it sucked - even as a SFII substitute.

Watching this "Galactic" version of it, makes me think that even the sequel hasn't developed at all.

  • I think i'm gonna have to pull your head out of the Snes's backside.

  • Methinks that I 'll have to shovel your head into the real world and out of the sewer from which you crawled out of and that made your eyes so full of shit that you 're not able to see and criticize objectively what's in front of your face.

  • You're full of crap. No wonder you like the overrated snes...

  • You 're a poor clueless sob.

You clearly lack any experience with video games...

  • @retronostalgic The Snes isn't overrated it's loved because so many people owned it. However I do think that comparing a 150 pound gaming console to a 300 pound computer that was designed for more than just gaming isn't really fair

  • The sound in this amiga game is superior to anything ever sonically on the snes...

  • well game was ok. but look now why are they made so many street fighters games? and none body Blows? i think answer i simple...

  • ... because the Amiga died? Pretty simple answer.

  • Well thats too, also the fact that many people played but I think in eyes of developers those games didn't make a lot of money otherwise we would probably had at least few releases of Body Blows for consoles:)

  • Well, look at rap. Rappers make millions of dollars for their disgusting talentless bullcrap. Just because it makes tons of money doesn't mean it's great - it just means that lots of people like to accept mediocrity.

  • I don't mean to sound disrespectful but any one who rates body blows clearlty didn't go to arcades at the time.

A good 2d beat em up is all about controling the space. You need attacks of different rages and speeds and that protect you from different angles. Bodys blows really lacks that.

  • The Amiga had died way before the year 1995, which was the year that saw the mass market release of the PSX and the final days of the SNES and Genesis consoles.

What you say is so absurd and hilarious that goes to show that you never played EVEN ONE of those old cosoles...

  • i agree

  • @uploader: "far from the brilliance of a SF2" ?! LOL. Compare the comparable : try SF2 on amiga, THAT was lame. Body Blows was cool.

  • Great character design.

  • I left a comment on another of these videos as it's great to see it running again. My Brother and I supplied all the sound effects fot this series of games, brings back some good memories.

  • That's cool man, good job on those effects.

  • There was a strong desire for people to play good _original_ fighting games on Amiga (and PC), too... and there still is imho.

  • I still appreciate that this came out of an amiga (I had this and all the other Team 17 games). But who ever said its better than SFII on the snes is insane. Graphics and sund was never the problem for the Amiga. It was the dodgy programming and terrible controls.

  • @uploader Why do you think this game was lame? I lways enjoyed it. Maybe you hould have used more than 2-3 kinds of hits while playing? ;)

  • What? No secret final boss?

    LAME

  • Yes, that's strange. When I was a kid, I used to wonder with my friends what would the final boss look like. One of them claimed to have completed the game and thought up some robot-mega-boss, but he was lying ofc ;) It's strange that there was no final boss in this longplay, there was one in Body Blows 1. Maybe that's because the person recording the game used only 1 round system?

  • I remember the good old days where me and my littly brother layed this all day we just loved it!!!

  • I also want to see videos of Ultimate Body Blows. I want to see what their supers looked like in that game.

  • I really liked this game. (And intro music.) I liked it better then Street Figher. Thought the characters were more interesting. Although, I didn't like the disc swapping. lol

  • Did the A500 proud as a games machine i think...

  • Great graphics and sound and a decent game i think...

  • I used to really love this game. I used to play it against my brother all the time. He used to play as Danny. I liked Lazer but could never beat him with Lazer. I had more success with Puppet.

    International Karate was good too.

  • God, this was a cheap mans Streetfighter 2 eh! Still loved it at the time though

  • Alister brimble did the music and sfx in most of the team 17 games. Elfmania was another amiga beat um up that had good graphics and music.

  • Well this game might be kind of mediocre. (It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.) but Team 17 WOULD later make the brilliant Worms games.

  • That actually looks kind of fun.

  • I miss the ninjas legendary quote: "special technique!!"

  • Well, actually it wasn't ninja's text ;) "Special technique" was by guy with long hair (can't remember his name).

  • love this game

  • I want to see Ultimate Body Blows too. They say those game were one of the best fighting games of the 90s.

  • Where was the character who could turn invisible?

  • The Ninja was in the first Body Blows. He was my favorite when I played it looong time ago.

  • Loveb the music in all the Team17 games

  • yesss me2
