@NutEgg777 Maybe that's what humans need to learn. You want to eat it--have the courage to look it in the eye and watch its final bloody end as it cries in pain and reaches out for life. Otherwise, consider going vegetarian maybe. Disconnection between food and animal or men, is what allows slaughter and war--when you fail to recognize the other as a brother, a friend, someone worthy of care.

So they're doing this for money. However, when Ric and Louie told the fishermen that they'd pay them the same amount of $ they'd make killing the dolphins in a year if the fishermen left their boats at the dock then why did they decline? They said it's pest control. We know Japan is a fishing nation and they claim that the dolphins were eating all their fish.Also, the Japanese goverment is very independent due to the fact that they're an island so maybe they just don't like being told what to do

@lExXiLeE96 fishermen would not accept this foreign money on principle--besides, we are talking MILLIONS through the captive trade--its big BIG money. And yes, because all those not suitable for captivity are considered pests, they are happy to kill the rest. We're trying to save the lives of beautiful beings with brains bigger than our own. Not get off on telling people what to do. given time, the majority of people in Japan WILL want to see the end of this too.

Most Japanese had no clue that this was happening in Japan.

Only the people in and around Taiji knew of these horrors.

After the movie Cove was released, many Japanese were shocked, this is NOT JAPAN this is Taiji, many Japanese are against Taijis despicable acts, but Japan still has a lot to learn about animal protection.

@seiko2097 Seiko you must first learn about your own country. Educated people in Japan know that in some part of their country there is a place where local people eat dolphins. However most people in this country do not blame the people of Taiji because they are aware that they are also eating meat of other animals.

I think Japan must be changed for the animals. Japan is a nice country, a safe country, Japanese people are friendly and kind.... but not to animals. Many Japanese want to be changed.... but not enough. Many still think too little about animal suffering.

And another thing people need to understand is that not all of Japan and Japanese people are like this, most Japanese people don't even know this is happening! So before you go hating on them realize that they do not know this is going on, if you watched The Cove you would understand that as they interviewed people on the streets of Tokyo.

Fishermen this dolphins are "pests" so they want to kill them--on the side, they make HUGE MONEY selling a few into captivity....

Its not that hard to understand....its just wrong and cruel.

I just don't understand the reason of killing innocent animals for money, if somebody came up to me and offered me $500,000 to kill an innocent dog, i would be like eeeeffff that. I'm going to send this to everybody I know, and i'm going to help make this stop, it's one of the cruelest, horrible, terrible act I have ever seen upon a mammal.

Japanese business and government do not tell the people--so most do not know, or do not understand the situation. 99.9% have not seen these images. When they do, they WILL make a change. There is about 30 evil men in Taiji who do this--but their government supports them.
