I know the cure for this. Get some giant bouncer to stand and keep watch in the cinema, throwing warnings(and people) around if people break any conducts. Have a sign say ''You will follow these rules and yes, we will be up in your face about them. Deal with it and behave yourself''
I hate buying stuff from the concession stand that makes a lot of noise when I open/eat it. I know it's really annoying, but I really want to eat it! I try to wait for an action scene for lots of noise to cover the sound.
This really SHOULD be shown on screen before every movie. I dedicate this comment to the woman behind me who was unwrapping candies every 15 minutes, and the kid in front of me who was texting while making sure his friends were aware that yes, Winston Churchill in the King's Speech is the same guy who plays Wormtail in Harry Potter.
EXACTLY why I never go to cinemas anymore! Except in Japan, where on one floor of a busy shopping mall, in Tokyo, the cinema was silent, the dialogue in English, THEY had to read the subtitles! Impeccable behaviour by the Japanese. The Bourne Identity, in case you were wondering!
Now this code of conduct should be made law .....I hate it when everything described in the code happens, really puts me off going to the cinema especially when you have to put up with idiots talking through the majority of the film.
No talking is the bane of my life. Whenever we go to the cinema it's always great with a few friends, until ONE GIRL shows up who's constantly "Ohhh cool!!...what's happened, I was talking so I missed it....oh that's so stupid that would never happen (watching an animated film!!!)" SO IRRITATING!
The mobile phone usage happens all the time. Some ignorant twot always thinks it's a good idea to text their mate near the end of the film. You can do that kinda crap while your leaving the cinema.
its funny, that food served at the cinema is often the loudest (in the case of popcorn, more so when routing around in its box), and the drinks extremely large, guaranteeing your bladder will be fit to burst mid way through the movie, meaning you you might end up missing an important part of the film, or if you're like me, stickin it out in exchange for being extremely uncomfortable.

@Keymikkel While I agree with your sentiment, then we'd just have an aggressive bouncer interrupting the movie instead of a crinkly bag.
Plus, who would pay the bouncers? That shit's expensive.

LOL! You are not in Japan, unless you are.

@billybobjoethe1st a better thing imo, open it during the musical interlude before the ads, then no. or very little noise during the film

haha. Just realised the child in the 'babysitting' scene is in fact James King! What a nipper!

They should show this at every cinema

This is why we stopped going to movies. With the high prices I want to hear the movie and not some idiot's comments or their ill behaved offspring!

Who on earth gave this a thumbs down ?!?
The cinemas should definatley be enforcing these kinda rules. We pay enough to see these films - we have the right to enjoy them!

Perhaps there should be some form of 'passport control' at cinema's and them zero tolerance whilist in the theatre. Or is this too draconian?
