Banks are outright thieves - doesn't matter which bank you are with - they all are in the same game. I am witness to my old age neighbours, going hungry because their bank takes the unlawful charges and depiving them off their pension (They are unlawful...even if the big guys in High Court say they are) - and the society is made in a way that one cannot have a normal life without using these thieves. Shame on them - how can we live with such extortion?
You're right, they are nothing more than thieves who prey on their customers who need their help most. By charging these unlawful, extortionate sums they are prolonging the problem rather than helping them get out of the situation. Sadly, they are all as bad as each other, and with this ruling the message has been sent that they can continue to get away with it.
