  • Probably the only time you will see the Acela with its couplers and HEP connections exposed.

  • Yea, that looks like a delivery job, I see the plastic wrap on the power units. A nice treat for the locals, they won't see those around there again.

  • It was a new set enroute from the plant in VT to Philadelphia for delivery to Amtrak.

  • o cool they need alot of amtrak acela trains do to the rise in ridership

  • Maybe. But it could also be that the factory doesn't have electric lines on the near-by main and Amtrak refuses to transport the Acelas themselves.
