  • that was most likely either Olympic or Britannic being launched at the beginning

  • i think you should leave the titanic at sea where it sank bc so the people on the other cruise could see where it sank

  • There is more empty space in the city center than on Queens island so why is this not being developed! this development is proposing that belfast conforms to a stereotypical image of a western or european city with a high rise waterfront, all lit up at night like new york or chicago...

  • @Yourauldollsbuns ...which looks good

  • Im an Architecture student in Belfast and this is the biggest load of shite that could ever have been proposed for this part of the city! A expensive upper class high rise complex with no character or relation to the urban fabric or architectural heritage of the city that turns its back on the forgotten people of east Belfast! The homes of the ship workers that lost their jobs when ship yard closed! This is an insult to the people of belfast and the integrity of the city.

  • @Yourauldollsbuns yikes...so are those all high rise condominiums?

  • this will change belfasts image dramatically and maybe for future prjoects take some ideas from dubai or abu dhabi

  • It's queens island. Not the titanic quarter. (Im not from belfast tho...) maybe this will help.

  • such a waste of money , this country has greater needs than to dickie up the ship yards titanic sank get over it

  • @boylenova no skit.. its not a waste of money !! titanic quarter will bring lots of tourist and tourist means spending on northern ireland economy...

  • @boylenova you're stupid it was a dump and now it ill be a place where northern Ireland can get lot's more tourism with these new buildings like Victoria square,Obel Building and im glad they're cleaning up belfasts image from the stinkbomb smell of the river lagan 20 years ago and a dump to a futuristic modern bright place like alot of east asian countries

  • I gravitate towards classical architure. Mondern monstrosities have a tendency to look really dated in ten years unless they have a certain sparkle. However, this will produce alot of jobs for that community. Hopefully the GREEDY developers and the government do not steal (eminent domain) the properties from the rightful owners. Sadly, government racketeering happens all too often.

  • @LaGioiella Classical buildings were once modern too.

  • @nriab23 , Yes this is true. But I guess what I was trying to say is that I prefer antiquity than to tear down and be a part of the wasteful consumerism that plagues our world. I don't like modern stuff that looks like knives poppint out of the earth. Sorry, they just don't have any soul to me.

  • aww ok wel again thanks for your response!

  • thanks for your response! you wouldnt happen to know if their building a new "titanic" would you? i heard stuff about it a while back, but idk..you seem to more about this topic then me!

  • no belfast city was offered a replica of the shipwhen the movie was made and they turned it down .

  • gotcha..thanks

  • i dont know much about this, but is it already built, in the process, or just an idea?

  • It's already in the process of being built, and has been for a while now.

  • Amazing video, love it.

  • What a great project, for Belfast finally something where we can be proud of something we have produced. Wish I could work on something like that!

  • well, im proud of the Titanic. But atleast the Titanic Quarter wont sink! lol

  • @2491cc i think you will find that the titanic quarter has sank my friend...

  • @Yourauldollsbuns And you know this how?

The Titanic sank, not the Titanic Quarter you may find.

  • @CyberMcRock IT SANK!!!!!!! why would you wanna commemorate and celebrate the most famous and terrible failure?!

  • awesome.....love it.

  • at 1:14 i can see the ss nomadic!

  • nice work pal, exiting times for Belfast
