@agustincavallo uh, watch out- we've got a bad ass leg movement expert here. I can tell you this isn't sped up at all. If I had planned to do this, I would have taken more care of the timing. ;)
hey thts awesome! i've just started learning to play the djembe, and i wanted to ask you how you set up the symbals to go along with it? i want to try something like that
@xeragonx1 Thanks! I hope I got you right here, tell me if I am not. It's just cymbal arms mounted on a hi-hat stand. For your djembe a would recommend a small 8-10 inch hand cymbal mounted on a simple stand.
@siusiu38 Thank you. Check the description for mor information regarding the setup. Those came out in 2010 and are especially designed to be played by hand. They're really thin and it doesn't hurt at all as long as you don't have cold hands. . Too bad the quality is so poor - they sound way better in reality.
The white thing are folded tissues, I am still too lazy to get additional felt pads. ;) There's alot of torque, so you need extra pads.
@just0like0guitar Thanks. Sorry, I don't know what you mean by that. Are you talking about the foot sliding to change the pitch to get that tom tom like sound?
Love the creativity and the idea, but it seems very rushed and busy a lot of the time. I should know, because I have the same problem! Chill it out a bit and practice a bit with a metronome...remember that the notes you don't play are just as important as those that you do. Keep it up and lets see more!
Fantastic playing! Thank you for sharing. Meanwhile you can check out my video posting where it features the cajon , electric ukulele and the acoustic. Also I tried out an experimental wireless ukulele on my latest posting.
If you just listen to this without watching it, it sounds like you're behind a full set. Well done my friend. But I agree with some other comments; get a better mic/recording setup. Eager to see how this sounds when recorded properly.
fuckin good man! the only thing that makes me crazy is the sound itself. please get a field recorder at least zoom h1 to make the sound clearer. especially when you hit the cymbals it makes me crazy
@ImSoPeeved : Hi there. It's a Schlagwerk La Peru with a beech wood plate (first generation). Cajons tend to sound better if played over a longer period of time. You kinda tune them that way - so your's might sound better in a few months. If you're looking for a clear and deep bass, check out the Schlagwerk CP 432. It has a spirals carpet instead of strings. I had the chance to play it at my local dealer and ordered it last week. Stay tuned for the demonstration.
