hey scooby,i used to do tons of sit-ups everyday for about 3/4 months.i still have fat and im trying to burn it through cardio,but still does that mean that i have a built 6-pack under my fat?(i ask because i can to alot of sit-ups pretty easily)
@NavySealRay A six pack is just tendons and muscle, every single person in the world no matter how fat has a six pack. It is just under the layer of fat, you must work it out, and eliminate your fat to a specific ratio, and than work it. It will than pop out. You can't just work it to make it show, you have to also loose the weight. However you will also need some bulk to make muscle, and it can also become tighter with work. (my uncle was a body builder)

I weigh 140 and do have a bit of muscle everywhere from weight training and running track(it's for football). I do a lot of ab workouts almost everynight and have been for the past 3-4 months. @bountyhkiller why dont you try do a pyramid on your sets this is the best way to build muscle. Or you could lift a little heavier on the same programme you are on.I hope i helped:D

I have had steady improvement in weight loss but am concerned about the speed that it is coming off. In the last 5 weeks of working out I have lost about 15 lbs (from 180 to 165). I want to see continued improvement, but am wondering, am I getting to concerned with number crunching, especially with calories?
@demulla Congratulations on your weight loss! You will find that you are much faster and have much more endurance in your ultimate frisbee now! Yes, you are losing fat at a faster weight than I would recommend and are at risk of losing muscle, you are losing 3lbs/week and I recommend 1 or 2. Very few have your problem :) Just increase your healthy calories slightly

@IbombYourAss I have the same body type. About 7 months ago I was 6"1 and 140 lbs. Now I'm 145 lbs with no extra fat (I know thats still not by any means big, but it's a start). Just keep at it and eventually you'll put on muscle. And it sucks but some people like you and I just aren't genetically wired to put on tons of muscle.

Hi I am new to this muscle gain thing. And I'm 15, about 136 pounds. I am trying to lose some fat, and try to cut down between 125 - 130. I was wondering when I do ab workouts will my abs grow abnormally because of my fat? What I'm simply asking is will my fat get in the way of where my abs grow, so it will become unsymmetrical?
My abs are about half an inch to 1 inches unsymmetrical and I've been trying to consume less calories and run more, but I don't think it's helping much. Please help.
@BBoyMerciless Nope you are fine. You can lose fat and work on your ab muscles at the same time, they are completely separate and one wont interfere with the other.

@scooby1961 Well, I don't think your common sense is boring at all. Some people don't want to hear the truth about abs, since they don't want to get a healthy diet and exercise more, even if they knew how much better you'll feel by doing that.

If you're spending money to get abs then you're doing something wrong or getting tricked. The video scooby posted at the end of the video is a good summary of how to get them, also if you're younger / more energetic you can google Ab Ripper X and do that too.
You just have to stay consistent. You're going to want to use these products because it's easier to keep using them every day than it is to eat less and exercise consistently, but dependency on a support strap only weakens your muscles.
Another good tip would be to maintain proper posture throughout the day. That is, sit up straight as if you're being pulled up by a string and suck in your bellybutton to your spine. Your muscles will strengthen and adapt to more constant active use, much more so than simply exercising and slouching/leaning back in your chair/etc. and can also reduce back stress/pain, and you might also have an easier time losing that layer of fat around your core when you do cardio.
Ey Scoob do you think i can go from, 17% fat (Abs not visible) to at least 10% fat in 1 month? With Heavy weight training 5 times/week and interval training 5 times/week and stay under 1500 calories/day?

Hi I am new to this muscle gain thing. And I'm 15, about 136 pounds. I am trying to lose some fat, and try to cut down between 125 - 130. I was wondering when I do ab workouts will my abs grow abnormally because of my fat? What I'm simply asking is will my fat get in the way of where my abs grow, so it will become unsymmetrical?
My abs are about half an inch to 1 inches unsymmetrical and I've been trying to consume less calories and run more, but I don't think it's helping much. Please help.

@BBoyMerciless Nope you are fine. You can lose fat and work on your ab muscles at the same time, they are completely separate and one wont interfere with the other.

@scooby1961 Well, I don't think your common sense is boring at all. Some people don't want to hear the truth about abs, since they don't want to get a healthy diet and exercise more, even if they knew how much better you'll feel by doing that.

If you're spending money to get abs then you're doing something wrong or getting tricked. The video scooby posted at the end of the video is a good summary of how to get them, also if you're younger / more energetic you can google Ab Ripper X and do that too.
You just have to stay consistent. You're going to want to use these products because it's easier to keep using them every day than it is to eat less and exercise consistently, but dependency on a support strap only weakens your muscles.

Another good tip would be to maintain proper posture throughout the day. That is, sit up straight as if you're being pulled up by a string and suck in your bellybutton to your spine. Your muscles will strengthen and adapt to more constant active use, much more so than simply exercising and slouching/leaning back in your chair/etc. and can also reduce back stress/pain, and you might also have an easier time losing that layer of fat around your core when you do cardio.

Ey Scoob do you think i can go from, 17% fat (Abs not visible) to at least 10% fat in 1 month? With Heavy weight training 5 times/week and interval training 5 times/week and stay under 1500 calories/day?
