@hellomoney333 - i like to think that OVA does not exist. after i saw it, i was pissed off that they would have kenshin die like that. even the creator of RK was unhappy that they gave such a sad ending to a character he felt should have a happy one (which is why he created a new ending for the special release box set in japan.). if you search "Rurouni Kenshin Last Scene" here on Youtube, you'll find it. it's posted by konedanime and it's under 3 min long. it will erase that soul-crushing OVA.

Busou renkin is by the same author as RK but its sorta modernized

Peacemaker Kurogane has samurai stuff- but i found it a bit boring

I think amatsuki has something to do with samurais too.
