  • This is what it's all about... Not only are they doing some great WCS moves!!! He's got her giggling with enjoyment... Nice work you two.

  • FIRST GREAT DANCING. Looked like it was all lead follow to me. Nice to see a girl do the fans right for a change. Wcs works to cha chas Though I here Rumba in this song. I know most try to cha to it but few know Rumba nor can actually here the music. Cha to sway always feels like I'm fighting the music that tells me it doesn't wcs.Maybe we all hear it different but thats how I feel after teaching 9,000 classes. I count everything.

  • Very nice work! Thanks for posting.

  • ain't that a cha-cha-cha rythmn??

  • Technically, yes, but that's the beauty of WCS. You can do it to a wide variety of styles and rhythms; certain hustle songs make for great WCS dances as well.

  • it is a Cha Cha but that is what nice about WCS.. is that it can be dance to pretty much any type of music.

  • This video is one of the reasons I started west coast swing a few years ago.

  • very nice. do you make it out to any of the events near the west coast? I don't recognize you but there are too many still pictures of your face.

  • WOW, that chick is smokin hot! What an ass on her, oh and the dancin was cool too.

  • Very cool clip!

  • is west coast swing always this slow I have been learning east coast swing and we always use more upbeat music is this one of the differences between the two styles or is that just what my instructor is playing

  • East coast is an older. East coast specifically (as opposed to lindy and charleston) is 3/4 or 6/8 time. Footwork is different, but the upper body stuff is very similar.

  • All versions of swing are danced to 2/4 or 4/4. When you hear 3/4 or 6/8 you should think waltz or viennese waltz.

  • in short...east coast and west coast and basically be danced to the same type of songs, however...there are songs where west coast not only feels better to dance to, but it just makes a lil more sense in terms of the feeling of the dance and sound of the music, but u can do an easy coast swing, to a west coast song, it just might feel a lil funny, especially if ur the only couple doing an east coast swing

  • I have a bit of a "thing" about male dancers trying to look good at the expense of their partners. It definitely doesn't apply to this guy, who is paying due attention to making his partner the centre of focus. Maybe the odd cha cha figure or adaptation could have been thrown in, to complement the music, but this isn't a criticism. As I said before, an excellent clip.

  • lol... yall are fun to watch. You can tell you actually enjoy it! :) My partner and I call that West Coast Argentine Swango. :) I'm doing a performance in a few weeks and you remind me that it's all about having FUN! Thanks!

  • Nice! And you've got a little Tango-type thing going on in there, too!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. You danced to the music beautifully. This gal can move and he knows how to show her off very nicely. Yes, it was sort of cha cha rhythm. And WCS works quite nicely this way. I mix 'em up myself. What I LOVE about WCS is just that it allows SO MUCH interpretation, creativity and spontanaety!. Bravo!

  • Awesome

  • oh my gosh. they're so cute

  • The follow is really good.

  • You both look great!!! I've been doing Ceroc for about a year now and it's Awesome!!! Haven't tried WCS yet but it looks very 'Cerocy'.

    Lovley spins and drops.

Well led!!! shame your not in the UK as i'd love to throw you about on the dance floor... as well as you cat :oP

  • Funny you should say that, since I also dance Ceroc and incoporate into my routines most of the moves shown here. This is a terrific clip and the fellow and the girl are both really good dancers. However, I'm becoming inceasingly convinced that Ceroc and WCS are essentially the same thing.

  • Wow. The girl is a terrific dancer, and so's her butt; the boy, and the jeans, are nothing special.

  • I never met that guy, but I don't like him! Okay I'm jealous.

  • As to what wcs is supposed to be... well one thing that is so nice about it is that it can be danced to a wide variety of music and each song can give it a completely different feel. Those are nice jeans.

  • fantastic

  • Miss you in SC Kit Kat. SOS is a week away, hope things are going well for you.

  • Very cool dancing...but WHERE DID SHE GET THOSE JEANS?! The jeans are amazing!

  • wow, she's hot. no way I could do that, very nice

  • Also, interesting choice of music! Who is it? I have the same song but by Dean Martin. This is a bit faster.

  • These people are awesome! Great choreography!

  • i'm 99% sure it was all imrpov

  • Fabulous!

  • Very nice...you guys are good. My wife and I are avid salsa dancers. We have been doing it for a while and we perform and are part of a dance team. We just started taking Whip / West Coast Swing to try something new and it looks like it will be a lot of fun when we get better.

  • Cool, really cool! BTW, I think it would make a great jeans commercial too!!!

  • Very very nicely done

  • Nice job. I do a lot of WCS and looks good. I like Blues music try it out.

  • Very nice, and very fun-looking! How long have you two danced?

  • you guys are awesome!

  • nice bod, maam.

  • Nice job guys! You have really great connection. You're really lucky to have an open space that big that you can dance in!

    ...and I like your jeans.

  • Very nice dancing. You guys rock.

FYI the song is "Sway" by the Pussycat Dolls.

  • By the way... what's the song called?

  • Nice stuff... very fluid and sexy! You look great together!
