The top engine will be the LS3, similar to the one in the Corvette; which is rated at 430 hp, or 436 with the special dual mode exhaust. Maybe down the road ther will be special ultra high performance versions available with the LS 7 motor from the Z06; or maybe even a a modern day interpretation of the ZL-1 using the supercharged LS9 out of the upcoming ZR1 'Vette.

I love both camaros and mustangs mainly the older ones and to be honest I would probley take a 69 fastback over any camaro exept a yenko or motion or copo or any type of modified camaro from the factory lol.

I'm sorry, but you don't know shit. The Camaro alone outsold the Mustang in 1977, excluding the other platform of the F-Body(The Pontiac Firebird). The new Challenger is about 4,000lbs while the Camaro on the other hand has always been a light car... So you do the math, what is the power-to-weight ratio?

I don't know wher you heard that, but I believe your info is wrong. The top engine will be the LS3, similar to the one in the Corvette; which is rated at 430 hp, or 436 with the special dual mode exhaust. Maybe down the road ther will be special ultra high performance versions available with the LS 7 motor from the Z06; or maybe even a a modern day interpretation of the ZL-1 using the supercharged LS9 out of the upcoming ZR1 'Vette.

Lol, do you have any idea what it takes to design a completely new car from scratch? Do you know how long that takes? They started in 2005, and a 2009 production date is damn fast. That's because they had the platform already. Why don't you get a degree in design and engineering, get a job with GM, and go make a brand new car faster than that.

Yes! Haha! They never understand that some of the cars they test are cheap and that you can't expect what they want out of them. However even though I'm not a fan of the mustang by any means I found it funny how the slowest 300 HP tank on the planet thats only $25,000 almost beat a 85,000 Lotus Exige against the Stig! The Exige barely won and it has such an advantage yet Clarkson made it seem as if the car was useless. I can't stand Top Gear because they will never except America or the SCC Aero

Looks nice and agressiv. Lots of guys and gals´in our car club already added Newer Rides to their Classics. 67 Mustang park next to 2007 Gt´s, 32 Ford HiBoys go along with Prowlers and 50 Chevy Pick Ups owner also bought Chevy SSRs.
Same will happen with the Camaro & Challenger Collectors. Painless New Car Ride comfort in a classic bodystyle, .. nice !

i can't stand gm, there just a bunch of posers, the only reason they are coming out with the f'ing car is because they see that the ford mustang is having total success. same with the new dodge challenger. everything ford did, they are doing too. ford redisigned the 05 mustang and gave it retro styleing and now both are copying the idea. at least ford is actualy original and giving their muscle a glass panoramic roof. if they want to bring back a legend, bring back the ev1.

They were all very popular in their time and are still very popular. GM has taken what ford did to THE NEXT LEVEL, by making the Camaro more advanced and powerful than the mustang.
you should also check out GM's stock price...higher than ford for awhile now!

I'll have an old rusty 60's Camaro over these ugly CamEros anyday.... It's not even worthy of the name Camaro. Couldn't they come up with something better looking? I sure hope this is not what the new Camaro will look like. Personally, I think it's hideous. Looking at one of these makes me want to laugh, cry and throw up all at the same time.
