The Mets still need another starting pitcher, since Johan Santana is their only consistent arm, Martinez has been a bust, though Maine and Pelfrey are good starters. They need someone to backup Santana.

The Mets also need a new wave of youth in the field and at bat...either through the draft or FA. Carlos Beltran is overrated, Jose Reyes is a great fielder but inconsistent hitter, while Delgado will be 37 in June, and is no where near the player he was years ago.
