This video is exactly what law enforcement is..at least a part of it. Hearing the radio transmission gave me chills..it's those words that i've personally experienced before @ work. Its very Sad to see the numbers of losing a brother/ sister in the line of duty. God bless all our LEO's.
Was the officers' entry of the house legal? Don't they need to be pretty sure the person named on the warrant is actually in the house to enter legally? Were they sure enough in this case? If this was an illegal entry - does this change anything? Maybe not?
@joybetainak Arrest warrants usualy allow the search of places of residence to search. As to being sure enough the suspect was there? "Oh hi Officer..., Yeah my brother is here he's upstairs let me go and get him...(2 minutes later)..oh Officer....I forgot my brother left 3 days ago." What does that tell ya? It aint rocket science.
@joybetainak Officers can enter a home if they have probable cause that someone's life is in danger and you don't need a search warrant to enter the residence. When someone has a gun and there's two people in the house, then that's enough to articulate someone's life may be in danger. However, once inside, the can only search where a person can reasonably hide, so if they find cocaine in a drawer then it'll be inadmissible in court.
a my father is a former police LT in the force and he alomst lost his life im thankfull to all of the officers who risk there lives to help ours and the fallen
I have been to 8 police funerals within the past 5 years. 7 Phoenix 1 Gilbert. The amazing grace on the bagpipes is so beautiful to hear but the sadest also it always gets to me when i hear it, along with the last call over the radio. my heart goes out to all fallen officers along with: Family, Friends, and all officers who have lost one of their own.
I could not get through this video without crying. Thank you ranger337. This video has touched me and I hope it has touched others as well. To all officers that see this, you can never be too careful. My heart goes out to all fallen officers and their families.
To all other officers that see this, take it to heart guys. Remember "I will go home today" Unfortunately it is true, around 160 officers are Line of Duty Deaths from Shootings, however, let us not forget, drive safely, more officers are killed in vehicle accidents than shootings. Clear them intersections as well guys.
Will we ever see a world without gang bangers? I'd love to, but we probably won't since Hollywood and the music industry help to glorify the gang banger image.
Maybe we should all just start calling them "groups". That might help take some of the pride out of them.
Never go into a dark alley without your whistle--someone is likely to hit you upside the head and scare you, take your sidearm and shoot you with it. Common sense.
That was very touching. I play the taps for military and police funerals, and I am also the wife of a police officer and I love him very much, and cover him in prayer everyday, because I never know what dangers he, or his fellow officers are going to face that day. I love them ALL!!!
Very well done. As a fireman, I know how much it hurts to bury a brother. Take this the right way... Please I hope you do not have to post another video
Wow...that was something else. 6:05 gave me chills. And 8:11...my dad is an officer, and part of the Emerald Society, and he plays at L.E.O. funerals, I have seen that bastard bar too many times. God love all of them...
I am still young in this line of work (almost three years), but you can guarantee when one of ours calls for help, we are coming at full force....RIP brother officer, you've done your time in hell.
Thank you for all the work you do in helping us stay safe. My thoughts and prayers go out to all our fallen brothers and their families. I am an Intensive Probation Officer and always appreciate knowing LE is there to back me up!
Two studies have found that at least 40% of police officer families experience domestic violence in contrast to 10% of families in the general population.:
(1)Johnson, L.B. (1991). On the front lines: Police stress and family well-being. Hearing before the Select Committee on Children, Youth, and Families House of Representatives: 102 Congress First Session May 20
(2)Neidig, P.H., Russell, H.E. & Seng, A.F. (1992). Interspousal aggression in law enforcement families, Police Studies, Vol. 15
Tears and memories. 25 years of law enforcement and the most difficult job I have ever had was being a pallbearer at a brother officers funeral. Thanks for the post. Great reminder that we need to go home in the same shape that we arrived in at work.
When your Brother yell's signal 13 it's the worst thing you could hear! but we all come running!! Rest in peace, your tour is over & the Lord's peace be with the Family
God Bless all my fellow officers and more, this movie i have watched tuns of time just to say that one day that officer could be me, if i get out of focus for one second when patroling downtown edmonton, alberta, canda god please all law enforcement
im a LEO and i think officre safty is the most important thing an officer in training goes through. I want to download this and show it to the few Police academy classes, hopefully it helps them. How would i download this video???
I'm becoming a Deputy in two years... This sent a chill down my back... Every 53.5 Hours an officer is killed.. 163/Yr.. It reminds me of the video the department had us watch regarding the state trooper who was shot and killed in NC in 1992... God bless these brave men and women.. I will be proud to serve with them.
As an officer, it is one of the most difficult things to deal with having lost too many fellow officers in the line of duty. May God rest thier soles and always remember what they stood for! May we never forget!
Is there a way I can get a hold of this video clip, I would like to show it to my dept.--this is a good and healthy reminder, thanks for showing this.

@purposeo well said, also if there is anything in plain view it gives you a lawful reason to be at the place, in other words to enter.
