The cx-380's don't sound as good or look as good but I don't worry about messing them up at work. They are normally 50-60$ buds but I got them on sale for 20$ they sound better then the sanheiser cx-300's that I had before I got these klipsch earbuds. Anyway I was curious if anyone else has had the issue with their klipsch buds having the rubber split in half on them? I am on my 3rd pair now and rarely use my klipsch buds because im worried the rubber is going to split again..
They still worked fine but they were ruined Asthetically it ruined them so I got a new pair, I kept a set of tips so I have extras, then 1 month later I went back to best buy and got a new pair because the rubber split. I guess wearing them at work wears them out. So I ended up ordering a pair of sanheiser cx-380s for 20$ on newegg to use for work and use my klipsch for special use.
I'm on my 3rd pair of these ear buds because the rubber that goes around the end of the cable before going inside the ear piece ended up wearing out and splitting so I ended up having to peel the rubber off and the cable felt all lose, I went to best buy and gave them the used ones and got a new pair off the shelf and kept the ear buds and just gave them the ones I dont use.
I ended up going to best buy and giving them my buds and getting new ones off the shelf because the rubber that is around the cable right where the cable goes into the ear piece ended up splitting up and I couldn't stand it
i was using that tweak for a little bit but it didnt work out too well for me, good idea though. Do you know where I can get replacement tips? I used the largest ones and lost them and can only use the medium ones which slide out easy, and what's the point of those really thin ones? It doesnt even sound right, it seems too thin for any type of ear...
Let me know if you know where I can get replacement tips.
I just bought a pair of the image s4's to replace my old school sony mdrex71s. I gotta say the ear bud tips are not comfortable and only fit properly in one ear for some reason to me. I took your idea and put my eargel from my mdrex71s which are super comfortable and worked perfect. I actually notice better sound quality with your simple mod. Its a basic idea that made a huge difference so thanks for posting!!
i like your glasses what brand are they?

You, my friend, are a genius. Couldn't get a seal and was going to return these things, but I think I'll hold onto them now.

The s4's have kinda small earbuds, I don't understand why given their mid-range price.
