I LOVE thunder mountain! It ia AMAZING! And I LOVE WDW! It is just so special, and magical! It's like a part of me. Disney World is the most happiest place on earth! :D
Love the sepia touch of this film. Big Thunder really needs some Ry Cooder sounds to go with this themeing. Maybe the Long Riders or Geronimo soundtracks would add to this. A lot of the real artifacts came from his old haunts.
@Disneyparksfreak09 i totally understand what your saying, especially if you have been going to disneyland a lot. but i go to disney world more than disneyland and personally i feel WDW is more magical to me, because of the way i feel when i'm there. so you have a great point, but i think it's more of a preference to which park makes you feel magical, and for me it's WDW.
Love the sepia film touch but would change the soundtrack to reflect a run away train as is Big Thunder. Hope Big Thunder fans will get to ride the one in Paris.
Why are we aruging over which Disney Park is better. For a lot of people they've only been to one of the parks. Atleast you've been to park. There are so many people who want to go, but simply can't..
One of my favorite rides! I love disney this ride is perfect for kids who have never been on a coaster before its fast and fun without being scary. Great for first time rollercoaster experiences
DL is better than WDW. I absolutely love both parks; more than any other park, but Disneyland is the real thing. There would be no WDW without Disneyland. It's smaller, but is the original theme park. Also, there is something that you feel when you are at Disneyland and not at WDW. Magic? The thing I usually don't like the most about MK is Tomorrowland. It doesn't give you a feel that you feel at Disneyland's version. Love both parks, but DL is Walt's true home:)
Finally, a decent argument other than the common "DW is better".
I wouldn't say that WDW is missing Magic, all of the Disney parks are magical. But, DL just has that feeling. There are some attractions that, in my opinion, were enhanced when taken to WDW (ex: The Haunted Mansion), but DL really has some components that Blows away WDW (ex: Frontierland). All in all, I'd say it is a pretty even match, DL has it's roots, WDW has it's size.
@Disneyparksfreak09 No WDW changes people. Who cares wich one i better its all about one mouse. One mouse that makes us happy. Walt Disney would be proud of the people who don't care how glitz and glammed up it is, its about joy.
@Disneyparksfreak09 But don't forget that Walt was disappointed with Disneyland. If he thought Disneyland was everything, he wouldn't have built Disney World. So obviously, he wasn't happy with it. Disneyland has A LOT of limitations due to space. No, I'm not saying Disney World is better. But, some of the things you can do at Disney World, you can't do at Disneyland. On the top of Mickey's Fun Wheel you can see fast food restaurants and other hotels. Is that really magic?
@2brothersvideos WOW... I was literally about to respond to Disneyparksfreak09 and say the EXACT SAME THING! Did you read Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas? There was a lot about that topic in there. Honestly though, I must say I grew up loving Disney World and it'll always be #1 in my book
I LOVE this ride! Whenever we went to disneyland, which was like every week, we would go on this! EEEP! The last car is the funnest in the ride, i think!
That was a mistake that will probably never happen again. They have fixed the mistake and further advanced the ride since then to make sure that it will never occur again so don't go around saying that because someone might get scared and never experience the magic this ride has.
I like disneyworld alot, but i usually settle for disneyland since its the real thing. sure its smaller, but its the original. and walt even used to live there on main street in the fire department
Ok i love MK's BTM bc thats the only one i've been on so i would say any familys with a small childing going to WDW soon this ride is a great family ride not scary at all it's pretty fun
Kudos to Tony Baxter, Vekoma, and all the other people who helped design this amazing attraction. And a double kudos to whoever designed Disneyland Paris's BTM, that one is simply stunning.
i only started going on this ride 2 years ago and it is brilliant! some of my mates watched vids of it and said it looked slow, but believe me... it is quite fast and bumby when you're on it! Awesome disney attraction
Great, WDW has higher attendance. That doesn't mean it's better, certainly doesn't mean it has a magical quality to it. It simply means that more people go there than the other parks. Why? cause they advertise it more cause and it has more parks and hotels, so obviously more can attend there.
I suggest you read up on the company and Walt's life to really understand the man and what he and Disney is really about, or was anyway.
Though the tide does seem to be starting to turn ... a little.
haha i love this ride!!! i rode it when i was like ten and i didn't like it and then in a few years my friend made me ride it again and i love it! so fun!!
Is it just me, or are all these little video advertisements weighted heavily toward Disneyworld and almost exclude Disneyland.
And beyong that, what about the international parks? I haven't been there, but the Tokyo Disney parks look amazing, especially Tokyo Disney Seas, from what I've seen on tv, it looks to be quite possibly one of the top 3 best Disney parks out there.
Disneyland is better in my personal opinion, because it's the original and it feels more magical. The reason I think that Disney is making this promos for Walt Disney World is because the Disneyland Resort attracts more locals, while Disney World attracts tourists internationally.
WDW was created after Walt died by the imagineers and by the suits. Walt didn't want it to be what it is today, he just wanted the DL copy, and then he wanted EPCOT to be a real actual city, Walt didn't want to build a theme park empire, he wanted to build a society.
And DL.. Walt made it, he touched it, he lived in it, his magic can truly be felt there. At WDW, you can't get that while riding the bus between parks... sorry
O really so u knew Walt Disney I guess considering u know what he wants and what he doesn't want. Just because Walt died b4 WDW was created doesn't mean he didn't want what WDW is today. Walt was alive for the Magic Kingdom and it is just if not more magical as DL.
Um... Walt died in '66 and WDW opened in '71, 5 years after he died. And one simply needs to look at the videos of Walt explaining his plans for the Florida land, specifically EPCOT. In no way did Walt want EPCOT to be anything at all resembling what it is today. He wanted it to be a planned city like any other. He put the parks and movies in other people's hands and focused only on EPCOT, but sadly died 6 months into the planning.
Don't question me on what I know about Walt and his parks I have watched every Disney video there is to watch. I'm tying to argue that Disneyland sucks cuz Iv'e never been there I sayin that I find WDW better personally cuz I go atleast once a year.
Well Vigo, if you research and learn the history of Walt's life and WDW, you'll find that they did try for months to create EPCOT, but realized they couldn't do it without Walt. So WDW was a compromise, they wanted to do something for Walt, so they turned the Magic Kingdom into whole park resort called WALT Disney World, for Walt's memory. Walt was going to make this happen, and probably would have if he hadn't passed on.
I think this debate is and always will be pointless because each park has their ups and downs. Their strengths and weaknesses. That includes Tokyo, Paris, ect.
