I've been taking Ambien nightly for over a year. I never once had hallucinations or weird visions. Doesn't even work that well (for me) as I still never sleep through the night. That being said, it is HIGHLY addictive. If I don't take it, I will NEVER fall asleep and get heart palpitations, sweats, and nervous shakes. When I try to quit, it's impossible. I've tried Xanax and Clonazepam, but they're more addictive & have worse side effects. At least with Ambien, I'm totally fine the next morning.

Doc put me on ambien for temporary use but it doesn't kick in till an hour later...I never feel crazy or forgetful or anything though. It also doesn't keep me asleep. I still wake up every so often. Insomnia sucks.
ok this is my favorite hypnotic (it's not a benzo suposedly but i like it better than benzos) but i don't use it to sleep. i use it when i go out at night and stuff to relieve anxiety(some weird issues i can get) and make me function well.

i once took alot of zolpies and it was a badtrip, i was talking to objects and totally spaced out.
I can feel that binding takeing effect right after taking this ambien, it cools down my brain chips by at least 2-3 degrees. If you have the problems sleep walking just tie yourself up and camcorder yourself. This pill works well for sleep terror disorder and also causes voices to become drunk and has a minimal effect on myself, if only they'd develop one for daytime that is as strong and keep voices drunk and myself without any dvd commentary.

yeah i'm on it right now but what usually happens is that when i get into bed i think there are other people around in the room doing various things and one time i thought i had to go on a bobsled to get the place called Sleep. but i was telling my bf that i could only go if he went with me...haha.

Regular long-term use (longer than 10 days) might lead to a hideous withdrawal syndrome that will leave you wretchedly ill for an unbelievably long period of time. Take this drug (or its cousins Lunesta and Sonata) as a long-term solution for insomnia and the cost just might be your health. NOT EFFING WORTH IT!

i wouldnt really recommend ambien. I've done it numerous times and you only get a trippy experience the 1st time. the only thing it does after that is completely take away your ability to think and speak rationally and it can get really bad if your around other people.

Anxiety results in doing poorly in job interviews or at my job because I feel sick and panic. I would be unable to sleep, and you know what health problem that causes. I wouldn't be able to keep a job and would be homeless and hungry. Not treating a severe anxiety disorder could be much worse than the pills.

For all those having trouble falling asleep there is a natural remedy that you can buy over the counter at most pharmacies is melatonin. It helps reduce the time it takes for your body to "fall asleep or prepare for sleep". Hardly any side effects if any very mild... Better than hallucinating I'd say

i tried some zolpidem tartrate yesterday, 5mg pills, i had 3 but felt no effect then after a while i kept popping 3 more untill i realised i had popped 12 (60mg) and that was quite possibly the craziest trip ive had in a long while..i remember hardly any of it but my sister told me when she came upstairs i was acting retarded in the bathroom saying there was a man in the mirror playing the violion and that pieces of dust were turning into angel clouds...this was just the start of it apparently

10 mg works for me, but its takes a while. what's the max time you can take this? I imagine this isn't good for the long haul....sigh. holy cow, a 12.5 mg dosage. Doc put me on ambien for temporary use but it doesn't kick in till an hour later...I never feel crazy or forgetful or anything though. It also doesn't keep me asleep. I still wake up every so often. Insomnia sucks.

ok this is my favorite hypnotic (it's not a benzo suposedly but i like it better than benzos) but i don't use it to sleep. i use it when i go out at night and stuff to relieve anxiety(some weird issues i can get) and make me function well.
beFUKENware: 10mg only mixed with alcohol will double or more the effect causing amnesia. i once jumped on a bush and bruised my whole face.
i once took alot of zolpies and it was a badtrip, i was talking to objects and totally spaced out.

I can feel that binding takeing effect right after taking this ambien, it cools down my brain chips by at least 2-3 degrees. If you have the problems sleep walking just tie yourself up and camcorder yourself. This pill works well for sleep terror disorder and also causes voices to become drunk and has a minimal effect on myself, if only they'd develop one for daytime that is as strong and keep voices drunk and myself without any dvd commentary.

i wouldnt really recommend ambien. I've done it numerous times and you only get a trippy experience the 1st time. the only thing it does after that is completely take away your ability to think and speak rationally and it can get really bad if your around other people.

A politician (Woodrow Wilson I think) had all of his fortune invested in timbermills and was terrified that he would lose too much. People are afraid of sleeping pills and anti-anxiety drugs because of their side effects. What are the side effects of living with severe anxiety disorders? Anxiety results in doing poorly in job interviews or at my job because I feel sick and panic. I would be unable to sleep, and you know what health problem that causes. I wouldn't be able to keep a job and would be homeless and hungry. Not treating a severe anxiety disorder could be much worse than the pills.

For all those having trouble falling asleep there is a natural remedy that you can buy over the counter at most pharmacies is melatonin. It helps reduce the time it takes for your body to "fall asleep or prepare for sleep". Hardly any side effects if any very mild... Better than hallucinating I'd say

Ambien is my new BFF! Took my first one last night, started feeling effects in about ten minutes. Luckily, I warned my wife that I might act retarded...according to her, I did. I kept waking her up and asking her if I should make pancakes. No? Ten minutes later, "How about pancakes and bacon..." Went on for about an hour. I don't remember ANYTHING! Love it!

I chew an ambien cr, and it doesn't put me to sleep. Swallowing it whole doesn't do shit anymore, so breaking it is the next best thing. I've been taking ambien every night for 3 years now. I think my body is immune to it's effects. I stopped getting all those "seeing things" side effects about 2 years after taking them.

i tried some zolpidem tartrate yesterday, 5mg pills, i had 3 but felt no effect then after a while i kept popping 3 more untill i realised i had popped 12 (60mg) and that was quite possibly the craziest trip ive had in a long while..i remember hardly any of it but my sister told me when she came upstairs i was acting retarded in the bathroom saying there was a man in the mirror playing the violion and that pieces of dust were turning into angel clouds...this was just the start of it apparently

I was freaked out and scared. then my cat who was sleeping on the floor beside me started talking to me. telling me in english that she loved me. and that she was hungry. after that experience I fell asleep. omg ambien is scary shit.. it was like a nightmare...

10 mg works for me, but its takes a while. what's the max time you can take this? I imagine this isn't good for the long haul....sigh. holy cow, a 12.5 mg dosage. That would shut you down like a light...Sleeping disorders are deadly I hear and should be taken seriously, as they lead to a host of other problems: high blood pressure, heart issues,fainting spells etc...The bad thing is you get used to your dosage and after a while, it doesn't work very well.

The problem is you take the prescribed amount of zolpidem, black out, and awake in the morning finding out you actually ate 100mg during the night and remember nothing. Nonononono. I will never take this drug again. I'd rather suffer insomnia than walk around in the night like a zolpidem zombie. ;)
