@CoolstartGO driving normally it feels like stock, with reduced fuel consumption.... otherwise when flooring it, it performs slightly better than a stock 2 liter...
You have reduced fuel consumption? It used a lot of fuel in my opinion. Always 8L/100km 9/L 100km. And I drive like a normal person. Maybe because it is still new...
My golf is so comfortable it feels a bit slow. But maybe it is because I am used to a 3 liter BMW diesel engine. (reduced power but still impressive 211hp (avoid TAX) and a massive 500Nm torque that is always there when you want it. So maybe 220hp will make me more happy while driving.
@CoolstartGO it will have 290NM @ 2500-5100 rpm instead of 320NM of the manual TSI, because of the torque limiter that the DSG has... Nevertheless with the very short gear ratios, this is not a problem. After all flooring a gasoline engine at 1200 rpm is not a good idea...
Last week i outrun a 200hp Volvo 2.0T just because of the gearbox. The volo had 40Hp extra, but still efficience wins from raw power. (of course the volvo V70 was heavier)
@CoolstartGO "diesel lovers who are used to drive 150 - 170hp diesel with 400Nm torque will miss the explosive power at low revs" Lol... Youre moron or WTF... Learn more about engines and next try to say somethin... And BTW 200HP 2.0T is engine from S/V40 (T4) not from V70... There was 180HP.
If you know something about egines you shoud know a diesel engine will produce more power at low revs. More than a Turbo charged gasoline at more or less the same revs.
A gasoline engine is relatively slow when driving urban. A diesel engine is more 'alive' at low revs because there is already 100HP, even at 2000 rpm. A modern gasoline engine (for sure the ones with 7speeds- automatic gearboxes) typicaly runs at low revs because of Ecological issues -> less responsive.
@CoolstartGO You proof me you know nothing about that... 2.0 Diesel could have around 150-160HP and 2.0T Gasoline will got around 230HP!! ok... torque is bigger in Diesel cuz it will be around 400NM and Gasoline 330NM... What so if its still ~70HP more in gasoline? Diesel will gain max powet at 3500-4000RPM and turbo benzine at 5000... And now try to calculate.
Funny you. I am just talking in general. Not about volvo, 2.0 diesel or 2.0 gasoline. you can't compare the maximum torque on a diesel vs torque on a gasoline because the maximum torque occurs on a different moment. (only non-turbo versions) So when you are driving normaly, a turbo charged diesel engine will accelerate more quickly compared to a non-turbo gasoline engine with 50HP more.
A downtuned BMW 525d with 163hp reacts more powerfull when you hit the gass than this 1.4TSI 160hp. It is just a feeling I have. But this 1.4 TSI is way faster than a 525d 163hp when you really rev that 1.4 engine.
This 'lag of power feeling' is the only complain i have with this 160Hp DSG combination. Again, a comparable diesel engine (even a new 320d 'feels' way faster) has a more responsive acceleration response when driving normaly (nor racing)
@CoolstartGO Lol mate... You cant compare 1.4 to 2.5 cuz 2.5 even without turbo will have more HP and NM than 1.4 too without turbo... 2.5 BMW have 6 cylinders and your only 4... 2.5 is big engine with normalized power and your is tuned hard... I have Volvo S60 2.4 D5 (185HP) and C70 2.0 T5 (230HP)... In both is 5 cyl engine and i know S60 have no chance with C70 even with more NM... In both engines turbo catch from low RPM...
I am telling you, i just compare feelings, no HP, no S60, no V70, no 4 vs 6 cilinders. Nothing of the thing your are writing. I don't compare turbo vs no turbo.
The only thing I say: But diesel lovers who are used to drive 150 - 170hp diesel with 400Nm torque will miss the explosive power at low revs.
No more than that! It is based on feelings en tests. The only thing I say that this TSI with DSG does not have the same explosive karakter compared to other 160hp diesel!
@CoolstartGO the electronic throttle with its bad reaction time also plays role in this... Although with the remap i think that the lag is reduced by half...
why the fuck is video info same on all your videos??? are you a fucking salesman and trying to sell us your car or what? o.O

Is there a difference when you drive normal? Or only when you put the pedal to the metal?

Do you have xenon or classic halogen headlamps?
sic22l 4 months ago
@sic22l Halogen
CoolstartGO 4 months ago
@sic22l xenon with curved leds inside the casing. The headlamps are together with the wheels, ideal in a parking lot, dark roads...

diesel power? lol
I'm pretty sure the 160bhp is petrol not diesel. Given that I own one.

@mahchymk93
Ok , it was a joke.
This is the only 1.4 petrol head in the world that can be driven so fast at under 3000rpm.
Next time I do a 0-100 test with a 3000 rpm limit (petrol) 2500 rpm (diesel).
This is the only way to measure real life conditions. The real life power feeling.

TSI is the revolution, in the video you say "Diesel power"because the gasoline engine can drive like a diesel IN better ^^
