I have beaten Akuma from Street Fighter 2, Ji npachi from Tekken 5, Azrael from Tekken 6, Nightamre Terror from Soul Calibur, and I still can't beat V-13. She's overpowered (Or the CPU cheats) because she can make 9 hits with a "normal" (I think) attack, and then she summons the slowing circle, makes her supper attack and while I'm guarding she sends another attack from my back that leaves me without guard and with only 1 point in life. All of this in about... 15 seconds.

The combo system of BB is awesome, better than SF4 actually. I have both but only play BB for now. Almost everything about BB is done right, apart from the weird English usage. "The wheel of fate is turning, rebel 1 act SHUN" is kinda lame to me.

I did end up getting Blazblue for Xbox and just kind of sucked it up and learned to play with the crap controller. I'm going to get an arcade stick for Christmas though, so I won't be cursing whenever I mess up Thirteen Orphans with Litchi. And the arcade pads just seem awful. The D-pad on the xbox controller is bad enough. All it is is the D-pad with the bumpers as face buttons.

Comparable to most Fighting games, Soul Calibur has a fairly good storyline; again, it shouldn't be just about the Gameplay, but the storyline as well. If you fail to recognize that fighting games are evolving beyond simple gameplay and having a story behind it, then I would say one could be blind.

So games should be regarded on equal respects of both Gameplay and Storyline, because it's a genre evolving from simply beating the shit out of somebody, to having a decent story.

Actually from what I can tell most of the good games these days come from capcom. And even if they only have one or 2 games a year its almost a garuntee that they will appear on tons of websites game of the year lists and to say a fighting game is poorly done based on its story is insane!!! If your playing a fighting game for its story you are completly missing the point of fighting games. Blazblue doesn't get good reviews because of its story, its gets them because its a great fighting game!!!

To the Tekken fans in this video, watch the videos of the Devastation finals.

I'm sorry, but it basically amounted to "Launcher XX -> Juggle, Juggle, Juggle" for the entire fights. If someone got juggled into the corner, it was over.

Where are the mindgames? Where is the rivalry? Where is the fighting? This is extremely high level play here. So what is it exactly you guys are justifying.

Seriously, the more I try to understand Tekken, the less depth I actually see.

I see a fun, casual friendly title with some awesome looking brawls for spectators. It follows the same vein of "This player is good, if he can prevent his opponent from playing at all."

Look at Street Fighter, look at King of Fighters. These games are classics now because they are FIGHTING games, the opponents fight each other, not their own dexterity handicap.
