  • One of Auric's henchmen I guess. Bond probably vaporized him with his awsomeness or something on his way to the cockpit, I don't know the writers of TMWTGG were in on it i tell you!

  • mabye it's the co-pilot

  • Goldfinger: I'm glad to have you aboard Mr Bond!!!

Bond: Are you having lunch at the white house too?

  • @TheSidney99 Connery's delivery of that line if priceless.

  • it was an henchman with goldfinger but when the movie was being edited it was better without the henchman.

  • Good music editing

  • Upon further inspection of the scene, I think I can say, for certain, that the fellow is the Korean guard who served mint juleps on Goldfinger's ranch, played by Anthony Chinn, who also appeared in "Dr. No" (as the decontamination technician), "You Only Live Twice" (as the poor sack who pulled the levers in Blofeld's volcano and was killed by Bond's cigarette gun), and "A View to a Kill" (as Zorin's potential backer who gets dropped out of the airship into San Francisco Bay).

  • It certainly looks like him; what do you all think?

  • @blofeld39 Wow, so he survived radioactive contamination and being shot by a rocket to be finally finished off by being dropped out of an airship.

  • Look carefully after Goldfinger is sucked out of the airplane, the same Korean henchman is seen dead on the floor of the plane. Also, in the credits, the struggle over Goldfinger's revolver is seen firing several times. When we see this scene the revolver is shot once and the window is blown out. The multiple gun shots were supposed to kill the henchman too. Peter Hunt who edited the scene cut around the henchman because the scene was dragging on too long.

  • its obvioosly one of the pilots

  • maybe he is a shop dummy model made of painted gold that goldfinger had on the cockpit because he is a weird gold freak

  • i'ts Odjob's ghost hahaha

  • You clever sausage!

  • Sorry - I remembered another Goldfinger item: After Bond uses his car to slash through Tilly's tires/car, she is upset about her "new tires" being ruined. What about the huge gash along the side of your car???? She doesn't even seem to notice.

  • More Goldfinger Oddities: Why does AG go to all the trouble of revealing his Fort Knox plan to the mobsters when he plans on killing them? Furthermore, why bother killing Mr. Solo separately from the rest of the mobsters (and smashing up a car and Solo's gold in the process)? Also, after the Ft. Knox bomb is deactivated, Bond mentions "three more ticks" even though the timer reads "007." The timer coincidence was obviously a post-production change but it bugs me.

  • The henchman can be seen 3 times: Behind the curtain, coming from behind the curtain when Bond first jumps Goldfinger, and then again when AG is sucked out the window. This actually makes sense b/c in the book, Bond kills two on the plane - Oddjob is sucked out the window and AG is strangled.

  • You can see for a moment the guy's body lying death during the fight or after goldfinger's flies away, i guess he didnt wanted to kidnap a plain by himself, so he asked one of his fellow chineesse henchmen.

  • It should be a deleted scenes - some states that the scene can be seen in the projection during the title-song

  • I heard on the DVD special features that the actor playing Goldfinger didn't spoke english at all.. And that in the editing someone was dubbing him in english.

  • I think does, just thickly accented. I believe his actual voice is used in one of the trailers. But yeah, he is dubbed throughout the movie

  • He didn't SPEAK english. And he did actually, but his accent was so strong the couldnt understand him.

  • Well.. yes, there are a few weird things on that sequence. I've read somewhere about it. I'n fact at the cut room they changed the scene. So it came out differently of what it was originally intended.

  • I've allways wondered who IS the man with the Golden gun?! I know its credited as Scaramanga, but both he and Goldfinger had one, and Goldfinger had his first...

  • Scaramanga. In the original novel he's the only man with the Golden Gun.

  • thats gonna give me knightmares now

  • Wow, I never wondered what happened to this guy before, but it's true, later on when Pussy Galore tries to take the plane to a safe landing and Bond helps her, the guy is nowhere to be seen, how weird...

  • When I noticed the name of this mystery I actually caught the guy. Never noticed it before today though. Nice catch.

  • same here! I never thought anything was strange about this scene until I looked at the curtain Goldfinger pulls back because of the title of this video.

Keep up the good work Dangale! I'm re-subscribing!

  • wow...I just watched the movie again;

Turns out that there was one of Goldfinger's henchmen lying on the ground after Goldfinger is sucked out the window of the plane! Weird, since he is only seen for a split second, and he looks SHOCKINGLY like the guy behind the curtain. I'm guessing this man was Goldfinger's last henchman who helped him overpower the original crew, but in a deleted scene, he is involved in the fight between Goldfinger and Bond.
