Most likely youre phone is not unlocked. If it has a carrier branding such as Verizon you should get it unlocked first before using it with any other GSM carriers. Since your saying you inserted a T-mobile SIM card and it didnt work that tell me that your blackberry most likely was originally from Verizon and you tried to use it when it is not unlocked. So you first have to get it unlocked. Hope this helps if you havent already gotten your problem resolved.

Ok, two things...Firstly, the Storm is a World Phone. This means it's a dual mode phone, supporting both GSM and CDMA technologies. Secondly, it has a 3.2 mega pixel auto focus camera...NOT a 3 mega pixel. Not trying to be rude, but you sounded ignorant explaining this phone. Do your homework of the product you are selling.

Sorry to inform you but you got your fact totally wrong buddy. Youre the one that should do the homework before starting to correct other people. The phone you are taking about is 9530 from Verizon. But this phone on the review is the 9500 quad band version used in the European countries. Over there they only use GSM and sometimes HSDPA 2100MHz on some carriers so does not use CDMA at all. You got the major part of ur argument wrong.

One more thing I should add to my comment is that the term world phone you have used does not mean it has dual mode of CDMA and GSM. You got that totally wrong as well. It just means that it is Quad Band phone and supports frequencies 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz of GSM technology used all around the world. I may be wrong but I think only S. Korea and Japan still use CDMA. So basically CDMA is useless in almost all around the world. Thats why world phone just means quad band phone.

No, they do not. The Storm is the ONLY dual mode phone that will work on both GSM and CDMA. No other GSM phone in the world will work on Verizon.

Does any1 know how to get rid of the "activation required" text on top of the time? My blackberry storm is unlocked from Telus and is functioning on Rogers network.

To remove the "activation required" message at the top of your screen requires provisioning from your carrier. Just call them up and tell them you need to provision the Storm for their network and a tier 3 tech support agent will take care of that for you.

yes and no, it can work on any GSM network like the guy said At&t T-mobile and oversea carriers like Vodafone (UK) it would not work on sprint or Verizon unless you buy the CDMA storm.

No sorry, alltel is a CDMA network which means they can't be unlock. Only GSM phones with carriers like t-mobile, at&t can be unlocked. Good question! :)

No buddy I mean the 9520. It's the Storm that's coming to Rogers early next year. In fact it could be early as Feb. This one has Wi-Fi and can work on ATT G3 network.
