The Viet version of Tong Hua is pretty good, but in my opinion the original Chinese version is still better. Even if the Vietnamese copied this song, they just want to enjoy the song as much as the Chinese do. Anyway, no one can change the fact that it's originally and will always be Tong Hua written by Micheal Wong. It may be sang as Vietnamese but it sounds more Chinese :).

Hi, can a Viet person answer this question for me, I noticed alot of music sung in the Northern Dialect, is this true and is this one? Sorry, I'm not very good with dialects.

the pronunciation of northern dialect you dont get as confused with cuz when u sing in viet with a dif dialect u could say a totally different word

In my experience, they use the Northern Dialect because it's more correct. The Southerners do there best to put less effort into saying the words. For example, the two letters "gi" combined are supposed to be prounounced as a "z" sound, but Southerners prounce it as a "y" sound, but the Northerners pronounce it the way it's supposed to sound.
