I think this is a great tool. Especially for taking leadership and making decisions with challenging behaviors. Student teaching is great and is still very important but each student teacher has a different set of experiences, some may experience challenging behaviors and children in crisis during their student teaching but other may have it easy. This gives all student teachers an opportunity to react to challenging behavior.

I'm with Becky, it's nothing but expensive role playing. Potential teachers have to student teacher before becoming teachers. That's where they get to work with students in "real time." This computer generated mechanism is nothing more than an expensive video game. Nothing can simulate real experience with real children, not cartoon adults acting like kids!

These aren't computer generated students! They are actors, and well-trained actors at that, who have to be available in real time for each teacher training session. Seems like a prohibitively expensive training model to me. I think role playing is a great tool, but that's all this is.
