@elritchie Why should they be? You have your own mind and ability to say "No" or "Ill wear this or wont". If you want to make it safer for yourself then you have the right to do so. But you dont have the right to mandate it for everyone else. Everyone can decide what is "required'" and its the mandating that has brought drag racing to its knee's in todays world. If NHRA was like an outlaw track, no rules, run what you can bring you would see innovation and the crows in the thousands again.
