  • If I had a penis, I would like to put it into this song.

  • no offense top comment but the last thing i want to think about when i listen to this song is the private parts of a disliked celebrity.

  • this girl i used to know, she would show up, we would get drunk, use drugs recreationally and make love always music playing in the background, this song stands out in my memory as one of them. at some point she disappeared and i will always think of her, i wonder about how she is doing. she was never mine, but i got to have her for a time. i love this song and its bitter sweet evocation of something i miss.

  • @matthias2986 i miss a girl i really cared about too, she just fucked me over:/

  • Best album too!

  • Best song by them EVER!!! In love with this song!

  • Intro reminds me of Jesus by Brand New..I know this came way sooner

  • @jefryhardy11 YESSSSSSSSS

  • My friends and I used this song and "I will possess your heart" for an English project. A+...hopefully

  • This is like the BEST album in the world!! (just agree)

  • i love this

  • one of the greatest albums ever

  • @ChubbyChunkins No. Their BEST album by a mile.

  • this song is fucking crucial. i picture a very sad story when i hear this song. i actually lived thru my own sad story that actually reminds me of this song...it involved lipstick on filters and all that....

  • "oh, no thats-- ..... Left uninspired by the crust of railroad earth..." haha :) i love this song

  • Can't you guys just listen and enjoy the music like good fans?

  • i like how interesting their songs were when they began. they still are pretty good but i justlike this kind of more.

  • I love this song.....

  • @misaaxskt dick?

  • This is my favorite cd of theirs.

  • @666789443

You and me both. I can still remember the first time I played it. As soon as I heard this song opening it up, I knew it was going to be my favorite album.

  • loovee iiT! <3

  • I used to listen to this on repeat for hours. I still do.

  • 3 people have different tastes of music. Music is music, and if they don't like this type of stuff (which i find amazing) then so be it. Don't bitch them out because of it.

  • I know Death Cab is like the Pearl Jam of emo but fuck me this song is good.

  • @antiirony THEY'RE NOT FUCKING EMO

  • @markgundy my bad. they are the pearl jam of generic indie.

  • @antiirony fine, i'll give you kudos; i honestly don't see the comparison but oh well, they are a great band none the less- my favorite actually.

  • @markgundy yeye. this song is really good for sure tho.

  • 3 people have down syndrome

  • @TheLunarChannel man this comment is fucking bad... please stop this

  • @ResorteraTV Lmao, Are you serious?

  • @TheLunarChannel the down syndrome is a SERIOUS problem. i dont fight with you man

  • @TheLunarChannel - What the fuck? You're trying to be funny and you're failing miserably at it. Stop.

  • @SlyandCunning No U

  • @TheLunarChannel = Just shut up. You're making yourself look like an idiot.

  • @SlyandCunning I like how you keep demanding me to shut up as if youre of a higher being than myself, as if your words mean something to me, just listen to the god damn music and stop getting butthurt over a comment,

    Idiot

  • @TheLunarChannel - The thing is, hun, is that I do think of myself as a higher being than you. I don't make idiotic comments making fun of people with downs syndrome. And I'm listening to the music each time I reply back to you. So no need to worry over that, alright? Alright.

    Idiot.

  • @SlyandCunning Dont call me hun you dumbass, I wasnt at all making fun of people with DS, You came to that assumption, like the idiot you are, and good, maybe you should keep doing that, instead of telling me what i need to do and what im doing.

  • @TheLunarChannel - Are you fucking high right now? You made a comment that had a negative connotation towards people with downs syndrome. To me, and to a lot other people, clearly, it was offensive. You did get other negative replies, buddy. Or hun. You like that better, don't you? Honestly, biggest dumbass I've come across...

  • @TheLunarChannel that's so wrong

my brother has down syndrome so fuck you

  • @kt76943 SMOKE WEED, DRINK GASOLINE, AND KICK BABIES, FUCK YOU <3

  • Sigh... the band sounded so good back when this was recorded...

  • @zerothought sigh, then people found out about them and you weren't special. sigh

  • @jdubs6960 That's not the case. I'm not an indie music elitist. I don't care if it's popular or not as long as it's good. I actually found out about them after they released Transatlanticism, which I thought sounded OK - not great. Then someone played this album for me and I loved it.

I have a suggestion for you - try not judging people or their point of view based off of a single sentence. In other words, don't behave like an asshole.

  • easily my favorite death cab song. i can see why they might not be a lot of people's style, but to say they don't have talent is a damn lie.

  • Excellent track, thanks for uploading

  • Epic stuff

  • Maan I haven't heard this stuff in years!!! Thanks for putting it on

  • To me, this has the most vivid imagery of any DCFC song, along with Company Calls Epilogue. This is definitely my favorite of their albums right now.

  • Ben Gibbard's voice just wraps around my soul and tugs at my heart strings. How the hell does he do this?♥ (:

  • I remember the first time i listen to this song. I thought, alright this is an interesting sound. Then 1:39 came and i remember thinking, ooh that's awesome. This song is amazing.

  • @TyMan1229 yeah when they drop the lows of the mix in is soo good!!!!

  • @camenzies The first listen its unexpected and then the next billion times, its like that moment we're dying for.

  • @TyMan1229 YES.

  • i want to adopt ben gibbard. he's beautiful.

  • I gotta say, I love their old stuff. Their new stuff is really great, but their old stuff is so wonderful and seriously underrated

  • :) I wish I can meet Ben Gibbard just to tell him how much his music means to me

  • @0ShyLikeThat0 My best friend drank with him once. My buddy told me that when his gf called to tell him things like this, he was a little annoyed. I think he just wanted to be treated like a person lol

  • Holyy shit! Haven't listened to DCFB on you tube in like 2 years, i come back and to my pleasant surprise some of there older albums are actually getting recognition ! :D

  • I remember the first time I heard...I mean really HEARD dcfc...changed my life.

  • One of the my Top 10 best Chill out albums ever

  • the change from lo-fi at 1:39 is spectacular.

  • i used to listen to this song on repeat for hours every night...(sigh) ben's voice is magic

  • emo-dashboard confessionals

  • @mikeroxcfc bahahaha i can't even take this comment seriously.

  • i'm the only one out of my group of friends that loves death cab for cutie. i take music to my heart. they take it to their ears. DEATH CAB ROCKS! :D

  • I must admit, I was charmed by your advances. You're advantage left me helplessly into you.

  • I tried my best to keep my distance from your dress, this is my favorite song ever made by anyone. DCFC is legendary and they are working on an album apparently i can't wait for it! title track is the perfect name too instead of it actually being the album name. i could listen to this song all day and not care about a thing. They wisk you away to the world of Death Cab whenever you listen, that's what makes their music so magical.

  • beautifulness.

  • loove it<3

  • D is for Death cab

  • Death Cab=Awesome.

  • "I tried my best to keep my distance from your dress

But call-response overturns convictions every time" they are the wordsmiths of this generation!.. like bob dylan was to his generation.

  • gotta love when the beat changes. word up!

  • i luv this song

  • Their best album. For sure.

  • Bought this album yesterday...so glad really. I was feeling awful and I just sat on the couch and closed my eyes. Amazing.

  • @nicck is the quality of music in this video good or absolutely bad in comparison to the bought one?

  • @nicck I do that all the time

  • @nicck

hey, it's been 1 year ago that you commented that. did you know you have the highest rated comment on one of the best songs on earth?! :)

  • awesome

  • This song is beautiful.

  • Brilliant.

  • It's getting up there.

  • one of my favs from death cab! <3

  • Their best album, hands down.

  • only 26,901 views??? shameful =,[

  • 18 views since then lol

  • right? Some people don't even know this exist. Probably one of my favorite albums from them, if not their best.

  • 27,435 GAH! JKJK

  • 29,711

  • This song is completely amazing.

    The lyrics are brilliant.

  • OR they are saying Sparkonetwo is a giant Douche LOL

  • What are they saying in the first 6 seconds?

  • They're saying:

    "Wow, doesn't toadboy15 sucks?"

    "I know, what a loser!"

    "hahaha!"

  • LOL

  • I think:

    "Rolling!"

"Hey, is this a cutout?"(not sure on this one)

    "Yup."

    "With you?"

    "Oh, no that's-"

    >> yeah...I'm not sure if all of those are right.

  • only one other band in history, in my opinion has ever even came close to the sensuous marriage of words and music that Death Cab For Cutie is capable of. that was Simon and Garfunkel

  • i agree with you but i would add elliott smith

  • Absolutely amazing...

    Pure poetry.

  • the first time I heard this song I was sitting on the side of the road beside my first love. With creative energy shining in his eyes, he described the images formed in his head by these verses. I've never felt more privileged, or nervous, or happy than I did then, and this song will always remind me of that time. thanks for posting.

  • my favorite <3

  • i agree this is the best one

  • best death cab song.

  • Every one is the best one!

  • every one has its own awesomeness about it, but i like the awesomeness in this one especially.

the words hit home in so many ways.

  • one of my favorites !

  • explain to me how death cab is mediocre. I'd love to hear your explination.

  • @kawaiikaruson because you listin to it, this was open while you left

  • where did they get it from?

  • probably my favorite death cab song, actually the song that got me into their stuff to begin with :) I love the sound change at 1:40

  • you just reminded me...i saw death cab at a mercury lounge show in ny when this came out. i was luck enough to end up in a cafe (or..was it a bar?) after the show with ben and chris walla and a bunch of others. i remember being there, telling walla about how much appreciated the shift from something 4-tracky to something more stereo-ey...forgive the terminolgy! sigh..oh, the memories. great stuff. (the old stuff, i mean)

  • i remember reading that they recorded the first 1:40 some distance away from the microphone, and then they moved closer to give that stereo-y sound later

  • we have the facts is very underrated , its simply brilliant.

  • This one of my favourite Death Cab songs. I have so many!! :]

  • I thought i knew every death cab song evah but i didnt even know this album existed!

  • this has always been one of my favorites by them.

  • the name of the song is "Title Track"

  • What is the name of this song?

I had the cd and lost it :(

  • Your watching the video of the song!! How do you not know the title?

  • it is called "title track"

  • Some people are too stupid to even see how stupid they really are.

  • If you don't care why did you bother replying...?

  • This is the only song of this album I like... then again I've only heard two

  • wow, you must really need a life. cant you find anything better to do with your pathetoc, waisted, time? did you really feal like everyone cared to know that you didnt care. wow! I am awed by your stupidity. and you say that like your superior to people, which your not, because you took the time to talk about that comment.

  • what sort of comment is that? out of two songs on an album you like this one and not the other? what does that mean??

  • i saw this live, which was the first time i had heard it. i was like "wow, this is awesome" so i investigated when i got home, and here it is. i LOVE death cab with a passion

  • i rushed this. we moved too fast.

  • love em

  • Fantastic song.

  • this is totally thier best album. Title Track and Scientist Studies are two of the best songs ever!

  • Probably my favorite Death Cab album. "For What Reason" is a great tune.

  • love this music

  • Agreed!
