  • why cant you drive? i see pavement? weird . our weather service only issues warnings when the snow is 5 feet or higher on the roads and drifting occurs with hurricane force winds. very odd that you could not drive in that. looks very driveable

  • @DuvallSilver

I learned to drive in Northern interior BC, so I know how to steer into the skid and all that. :) The reason I didn't drive that week is because of the OTHER drivers. I live in an area full of rich white folks that see snow twice a year. There were SUVs and 4x4s in ditches everywhere. The RCMP declared my area unfit for driving except in emergencies. Not that I care what the cops say, just answering your question. Lastly, I live on the only steep hill in town. :)

  • @drutter you drutter are a smart man to avoid the yuppies that are green when it comes to driving in those conditions. kudos to ya

  • sounds like toronto with the snow crunching under your feet

  • It is 80 degrees(F) here in Orlando.

  • That is a normal Jan day for us in Ontario!!

  • HOPE YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO WALK TO FAR LOL

  • Don't go where the Huskies go,and don't eat that yellow snow.

You need to get a hooded"Polar Rap" for that kind of weather

You can breath in and out through built in a pouch.Works dam good.

Nose hairs wont freeze up and body stays warm.

  • dont eat golden snow

  • I do not miss the debilitating cold.

Door lock freezing solid on my car.

Ice storms that knock out power for a week.

    No thanks - no more.

  • no frozen nose hairs down here in Mt. Vernon Wa. but our streets sure look like yours. Be safe

  • It looks like Skyrim! Beautiful!

  • Fonzed for giving me the shivers while in the sun. Sending you some heat mate.

  • Thanks for taking us on your stroll. I don't remember seeing as bleak a landscape on any of the walks fabian4liberty, alexis or silverfuturist takes us on. Probably because when the weatheres like that they don't brave it. Kudos to you for being tough enough.

  • It's global warming. Fasten your stilsuit desert-fashion and don't make any rhythmic sound lest you alert a sand-worm.

  • OHG I cant believe that is the middle of the day, it's like another planet ! This makes our Australian winters look like a spring walk in the park. There is no way I would walk out the house in that weather, unless I had a portable electric blanket & face warmer LOL.

But it dose have a strange beauty, as everything look blue-white.

  • suck it up creampuff.

Ohh noooo its sooo cold. Apparently my truck wont start so I am striking it out on my own (with gf) to gather some supplies (beer and smokes for doobies). Hopefully I make it home. If not my gf will probably expire first due to the extreme exposure. In which case I am prepared to go Luke Skywalker on her and harvest her precious bodily warmth.

    Hopefully she is big.

  • Sunny warm skies in SoCal.

  • yeah it is a little cold in van. big deal. You make it sound like the end of the world.

    What gives?

  • Good luck to you.

  • Yikes.... try and stay warm!!

  • Cool!!! No seriously COOL!

  • Walking in for supplies? How are your stores and back up food supplies going? Let us know what you run out of or forgot to stock, if you discover a deficiency. It would be interesting and helpful to learn from your experience.

  • @tesskansas Hello? He said smokes...

  • I get chills just hearing you talk about the temp.

  • Just send 3in of snow my way so our city can shut down... No kidding. Lol

  • Yikes!

I'm down here on the SW Washington coast and it snowed last night but most of it already melted...I hope everything stays OK over there...God Bless

  • Yeah, that is not normal for your area for sure. Thanks for the update.

  • I hope the snow storm makes it here to California.. South Lake Tahoe Snowboarding trip coming soon!!

  • 6 inches of snow and the whole city shuts down.... lol

  • Hey, it got down to 35 degrees overnight in San Diego!!! (70 daytime)

  • if we get -25c windchill and that amount of snow, we run business as usual as we get about six or seven of these days a year and have had a few recently. That doesn't stop cars from moving or schools from closing.

In 2007 we had two straight months of what felt like arctic weather with the average windchill in the area of -20c and down to -35c area this time that year. It was brutal and too freezing.

  • @endlessmountain yes mate , I know :)

been following you guys for a couple years now and it just amazes me how you can get live pictures from the other side of the world, being so cold there and the sweat running out of you just sitting here, fan going window open :)

  • @endlessmountain

I come from inland BC and have experienced -70C in Prince George, and yes we walked to school that day (the tires on the cars and buses were frozen flat on one side). I can handle it, it's just that Vancouver can't! They rarely see real winter conditions like these.

  • Yikes, the COLD, FAR NORTH,......brrrrrr........and i thought 55° F. was chilly, its Spring over here,....hehehe.... -25°F,...er....wait a sec....ya all also use the metric system, so it got down to -30°C,....its still balmy here at 13°C at the moment,...frozen nose hairs,.....well, at least ya didn't have any frozen buggers!! XD Thumbs up drutter ol' buddy!! = )

  • @qualqui -25celcius I think he means which is only -13 Fer. Northern People like us get used to this weather. In fact, im more used to it than Drutter because he lives in the Bahamas of Canada.

  • I Froze My Ball off today! WOW

  • @TheSilverWatch Opps....Balls off

  • @TheSilverWatch Plural....*Balls*

  • it was -49 here in calgray with windchill according to the weather network and we dont even get a wind chill warning... Cold like Yakutsk here

  • Good practice for your preps. Washington State has about 10 inches and is down to 0c. Haven't got anywhere on my days off.

  • That's what you guys get for laughing at us in Ontario for all those years! Enjoy your Canadian winter! It's about time! LOL!!!

  • Incredible, its so hot and humid in Australia !!

  • @angie7dino its based on the location of the earth within' its sun and how much sunlight you get. You are the polar opposite to us in Canada and our coldest time of the year is right now as your hottest time is now. Our hottest is late July as that is your coldest.

  • -25 and all you have on is jeans and hiking boots?? Get some coveralls Drutter! :D

  • First! Frozen nosehairs here in Cow-gary too! Keep warm!
