I remember seeing pictures of this show in magazines when I was a kid, by that time Shout was already released. I was hooked, still am. The "apocolyptic, future" look still has such great shock value. I wonder what those "hippies" in the audience were thinking, especially during Bastard.

Watched the entire VH set from this day/night just before. Tried to watch Scorpions but alas I fear the whoie show is not there. Either way fuck what a fest!!

You have a clue what Motley Crue was and or is today. They change every single time they record new material. None of their stuff sonds the same. Mick using different tones and totally different guitars for each album and some times on different songs on one album. So get a clue and learn to respect your elders jackass!!!
In a nutshell, Woz lost so much money putting on the 1982 and 1983 festivals. He said in a press conference during the '83 festival that he had no plans to do one in 1984. He wanted an US Festival in '84, but the only way he could possibly do it would be w/outside input. I guess it just didn't come together.
