Hi guys Im an award winning painter. I paint anything form toys model kits statues blank heads start at 15.00 per Head prices are very reasonable, email me for details
thanks for the lovely compliments, people. About the Right arm, it used to fall off easy, but i took a flame, heated up the 'stump' that clicks into the joint, making it 'mushroom' slightly. Then I used a hair dryer to soften the plastic on the arm socket, and clicked the new mushroomed joint in... once the plastic of the arm had cooled, this was permanently fixed. I hope this helps. (you can email me through my website if you didn't quite understand me here.. i'll explain it to you again)
Ok i sent ya email, And i just gotta say i love your Terminator customs!! I really want a t-2 battle damaged terminator like you made it looks great dude. I wish hot toys or sideshow would make a good t-2 battle damaged one but man you are good lol.
thanks guys :) ...Ajaix, head on over to my blog at the address above, and send me an email. I'm busy getting ready for my wedding and honeymoon at the moment, but I might be able to do you one of those Anakin heads after that. If I don't get back to you straight away... just be a little patient. we're a bit busy with the wedding ;)
Are you still making these Anakin heads?? Bc if are i want to buy one. I really like your sculpt alot better then sideshow's so if are let me know ok.
XDHarcoreiTXD - this is the Sideshow Collectibles Anakin, and I resculpted the face to look more like the actor, then painted it. I can't sell that Anakin because I already sold it off (to fun my honeymoon) ...I could always do another one for you though maybe. Go to my blog and send me an email and we can see what we can do :)
jaylyn3 - For this head I used Milliput, dries hard in a few hours... for other heads I've used Super Sculpey
Hi folks, thanks for the comments. No, I don't work for any 1/6 figure companies... it's just me doing this as a (rather successful) hobby. As for selling things on eBay, I don't usually... maybe once in a while to make space or something. But usually people get in touch with me through my website... the address is either on my videos, or should be at the top of this page :)
wow! do you sell this stuff on ebay? i am a collector and those are amazing!! they look terrific, makes me jealous, i have the regular Sideshow Anakin figure...doesn't compare to that!
i am not a starwars fan... but seriously amazing!!!! you must be working in some figure company............. the third movie was bad ass when the anakin guy turns bad and you put it exactly it is!!!! well done.
thanks guys... this particular Anakin figure is on eBay this week. I'm trying to raise funds to pay for our upcoming honeymoon. So all my precious figurea are going!!
gantz, the company that makes them is Sideshow Collectibles, but you make have more luck through eBay or your local comic store as these particular ones are sold out I think. They're still releasing many others though. Feel free to email me if you've got any more questions. There's a link on my blog
@DarrenCarnall wanna now a secret?? put your mouse over the coments and then click on reply so that people that comented in the video know about your answer
Thanks! Yeah I do. These are upgrade heads for the Sideshow figures, so if you get hold of those figures then I can upgrade them to be like this for you. Head on over to my blog (darrencarnall (dot) com) and you can see more of my works. There's an email link there too.. feel free to give me a shout
aww thanks fellas. I've been so busy with repaint and resculpt commissions that i haven't had a chance to finish the other videos yet. SOON hopefully though!! :)
Great work! I found out about you by watching Pitu23's videos. And after looking at your website and watching this video, I must say, you are the best I have seen! I work for a website called TheArnoldFans dot com, and am looking forward to seeing your Terminator video!
Your work is second to none! ...and you show it off with excellent climactic music with well timed dialogue clips...amazing stuff...excellent zooms...great ending!
Kenwood, thanks for the comments. I've seen other videos of people showing off their customs, or collections and they're basically just someone holding a figure saying "uhh, yeah.. this is my star wars figure...." and I really didn't want that.
I'm glad it worked, so thanks for the comments! Lord of the Rings custom figure vid coming soon.
wa... you made 2 head, can you make more? why don't you sell those head :o ? i know a loooot of people who would die for those perfect anakin , and i'm one of them :p
as you saw on my blog, I do other heads as well, I just haven't made any videos yet (I'm in the middle of another video)
I do custom figures and heads for people, all day every day ;) why don't you email me and we can talk about what you want. I do custom sculpts, and custom paint jobs.
comichero, thanks! Yeah I usually make a resin cast to work on, so the original is untouched, although a few times I've just resculpted the original. As for making molds and casts, I just googled "how to mold and cast resin" or something like that. I went through loads of websites, reading all I could from different people and different places.
I'd love to get into customising models like this. I take it the process is long and requires a very steady hand!!! I collect the Gentle Giant Mini Busts myself which are pretty detailed, but the detail you've added to these sideshow figures is brilliant and surpasses any bulk (limited edition) statues and busts I've seen. Great stuff!! I look forward to seeing more from you. By the way do you start with taking a mould of the original head? If so how do you do that and what do you use?
Hi Boba, I bought the figures off eBay. Sideshow 12" figures, but I resculpted the heads and repainted them. Even as they come they're great figures though. I just like making things better.... I'm a perfectionist ;)
I have a ? First were did you get those? Hastings? T R U? Target? And also can you check my vidio out. Anyone can but you have awesome vidios and its a good vidio. Click on my name to see my "Boba Fett" slideshow!
Hi DarrenCarnall, You've got a wonderful channel. I've created a new video clip: "What Do You collect?". I want to bring lots of different collectors together. Please choose one of your favorite videos of your action figure collection and post it as a video response to my collecting video, thank you.
Wow, more helpful then I thought (not that I thought you were stuck up, but you know how some people are). I thought the heads were completly sculpted, but seems like you just added to them, either way they look alot better then the originals.
I used a mixture of craft knives, sandpaper, a dremel tool, and anything else I could find for sculpting material away.... and for adding material I used a 2 part epoxy putty, which dries solid in a few hours. I shaped this using some bought sculpting tools, but mainly wooden toothpicks, fingers (basically anything that works)
google search 'sculpting tutorials' and you might find websites that can help you.
What materials and tools did you use to sculpt the heads? They look pretty good and wouldnt mind giving it a try (not for them but for other figures).
hey send me one lol
