  • hola me pareció muy interesante y la tecnología Scania gustaría saber cuál es el nombre de la canción del final del video a partir de las 3:25 hasta 3:36 (minutos), si es posible enviar mí, así que muchas gracias

  • i'll aggree with u scoob, mine in my truck is so dangerous at the moment the gear change down is way oout of sink they took a good box out put a "new" one in and from what i can figure they hvnt sinked it properly. i hope they hv done something about it b4 i drive it 2morrow!

  • for all the people complaineing just dont be fat laszy truck driver's and buy a manual gear box !!!!!!!!

  • On a second note : it will be interesting to hear reviews of the new opticruise by experienced truckers (as opposed to hear from experienced bloggers)

Atm, I drive a Volvo with I-Shift (quite happy with it) and it is too long since I drove a scania with opticruise to really know how it is working today.

  • So it's not I-shift..

I know several drivers that frequent the most dangerous roads and mountainpasses in Norway with their Scania's and, although they all agree that it ain't the same as I-shift, they all seem to be quite happy with it!

It never helps to focus on a few negative things when making up your mind about things. It is always up to the driver to make things work for them and good drivers do!

  • youre right, i never had driven an other Truck like a Scania.

I know that its just a grs900 with a few cylinders on top.

    But the fact is.

    IT WORKS!

the peaple who drive für us with their Mercedes and MAN got problems with the gearboxes.

    Be true.

400000km and the Mercedes Gearbox is ruined.

And i never got a problem with a Scania Gearbox.

It shifts slow but it shifts everytime for a long time.

Just fill some oil in the Opticruise Switching Block on the rigt side an it works and works ...but slow

  • We drive Opticruise in our Scania´s since you can buy it.

    We never got problems.

    IT IS SLOW!

    And?

Because it shifts WHITOUT the cluch you will never get the Syncrone-rings blow to hell.

It shifts like you are shifting a Fuller-Gearbox.

There is no wear at the Gearbox. You get the oil out as clean as you filled it in.

With the Opticruise you have to switch your brain on.Set to Manual when braking down, as an example.

I drive it with heavy Loads in rough terrain.

I would never buy anything else.

  • And if you shift an Gearbox FAST it minds anytime a big stress for the Gearbox.

    Whats more importand?

    Fast shifting or expensive repairs?

And with the Pedal for the clutch you can be very sensitive in rough terrain.

Because the V8 would make tiny pices out from the driveshaft if youre not sesitive enough.

    Sorry for my Bad english.

I just buy Scania because we got them sicde my Dad began to Trucking.

I grow up with te Scania V8´s

    Its a Livestyle.

    Never would drive anything else.

  • Totally agree with all the comments, its not an i shift and the only way i can get good fuel economy is by leaving it in 11 gear on the cruise.

For gods sake Scania, buy a Volvo and see how a proper auto works!!

  • I agree; if left in auto mode it will perform unrealistic block changes when braking and make the engine scream.

  • its d only way id never drive manual again

  • Oh PLEASE SOMEONE TRANSLATE

  • BULLSHIT

  • Satan's own gearbox. I despise them with a passion, why fix what isnt broken? better economy and pull from a manual
