  • why are the americans using a bolt action rifle?

i thought they all used the Garand?

  • @donsargent they did not get all the supplies yet till tarawa

  • @donsargent those are 1903 Springfields. The Marines were the last to get M1 Garands

  • @EESASTORM yep. because the army always gets the equipment first.

  • @donsargent the marines could not afford em until war bonds started to sell i belive they got em in mid 1943 but there where no campaigns going on at the time so they debuited at peleilu

  • @TheRealThang88 well then im really sorry about your father and I honestly am. But remember that its war and many unfortunate things happen in war. Think of how many fathers the marines must have killed? I understand why you would be upset about this but that doesnt mean you should put down an entire race of ppl. Remember forgive and forget

  • @blackholeprime your right but i was only 2 when he died i dont have any memories of him and i am sorry that i lost it but you (probably) dont know what its like to be raised up without a father to play catch or go hunting with again i am sorry about what i said

The country which won the War

    America!!!

    Simplify!

  • Thats utter bullshit. I will simplify by saying that the allies won the war, not the yankees.

  • Does history channel still air this?

  • sometimes. it's a shame that good shows always seem to be replaced by ones that just aren't as interesting but are always on the air longer :(

  • @asianwannabeamerican im asian too

    but i live in USA

  • @Luvannaxo there's a lot of Asians in America lol. and yeah, I understand it's tough living here. my parents are both immigrants (though I was born here), and they don't get along and struggle with bills, but my parents do appreciate the wealthof opportunity they have here for their kids to create better future for themselves. this is why whenever people say they don't understand why America is so great, I just want to punch them in the face.

  • occasionally

  • great series

  • haha, i own this DVD.

  • This was the most important battle of WW2. The Japanese had been winning battles since the late 1800's, and was still winning 60 years later, until the were pitted against the marines. We broke the notion that the Japanese could not be defeated. Guadalcanal coincided with Stalingrad, and those two battles helped bring down the axis. Great video: 5 stars

    -gunny55

  • I thought the battle of midway was the most important battle of ww2

  • most important turning point for as far as naval there was alot of important battle every shootout was important so was every battle

  • @kunjidee It was important, but i would argue that Guadalcanal was the campaign that really shaped things. It could've easily tipped back into the japanese to go back on the offensive had the marines not survived.

  • There was no quesiton of that happening...after all...these were MARINES....

    M mean as hell

    A All the time

    R Run all day

    I In the Mud
