Check out the book MY COUSIN KILLED HITLER, based on the story of Marshal Zhukov. It tells a family secret about him. If only Hitler knew that one of those he hunted became the hunter instead.
@donsargent the marines could not afford em until war bonds started to sell i belive they got em in mid 1943 but there where no campaigns going on at the time so they debuited at peleilu
@TheRealThang88 well then im really sorry about your father and I honestly am. But remember that its war and many unfortunate things happen in war. Think of how many fathers the marines must have killed? I understand why you would be upset about this but that doesnt mean you should put down an entire race of ppl. Remember forgive and forget
@blackholeprime your right but i was only 2 when he died i dont have any memories of him and i am sorry that i lost it but you (probably) dont know what its like to be raised up without a father to play catch or go hunting with again i am sorry about what i said
@TheRealThang88 its okay man. and yeah i am sorry for what i said. just try not to say rought stuff like that and your right im thankful to have my dad
@TheRealThang88 i lost my dad when i was young too i was 3 and he left our family my mom had to raise 2 kids and we needed those places where they give u food cuz my mom couldnt pay the mortgage
haha reminds me of the time i hit my older bro with a brom and he took it and hit me in the head and i dropped that was wen he was a teenager and i was like idk like 11
@Luvannaxo there's a lot of Asians in America lol. and yeah, I understand it's tough living here. my parents are both immigrants (though I was born here), and they don't get along and struggle with bills, but my parents do appreciate the wealthof opportunity they have here for their kids to create better future for themselves. this is why whenever people say they don't understand why America is so great, I just want to punch them in the face.
This was the most important battle of WW2. The Japanese had been winning battles since the late 1800's, and was still winning 60 years later, until the were pitted against the marines. We broke the notion that the Japanese could not be defeated. Guadalcanal coincided with Stalingrad, and those two battles helped bring down the axis. Great video: 5 stars
@kunjidee It was important, but i would argue that Guadalcanal was the campaign that really shaped things. It could've easily tipped back into the japanese to go back on the offensive had the marines not survived.
damn japs. they're like animals!!

Thats utter bullshit. I will simplify by saying that the allies won the war, not the yankees.
