Janet even watched the woman rights movement go by. It didn't bother her that woman didn't have the same rights as men.

She watched her taxes go from 11% to 35% over the years but that was OK, no reason to "hit the streets".

All that history and Janet never stood on a corner.

Until Jan 20th came...and the nations first black man took the oath of office.

Now Janet is MAD and has taken to the streets to protest.

Yup

She wants her "country" back.

Jan 20th 2009 is the day Janet became involved.

She went over 70 years before she got involved.

She watched Reagan increase the deficit by 164% and Bush by 75%

She watched Vietnam go by by never felt the "need"

Iraq, Korea, taxes raised, the Patriot act, it was all OK.

She saw "Social" Security passed and didn't even look up.

After that she watched Medicare (A single pay government

system).

Then a black man took her office away and she's PISSED and marching on street corners.

In fact, the leaders of the tea parties are open or loose borders libertarians or with shadowy front groups for companies that support massive immigration.

People like Janet are being useful idiots for those who will make her situation worse, not better.

Lonewacko actually, i can't really name any "tea party" leaders. besides, it doesn';t matter what figurehead tries to piggy back on the movement. the PEOPLE do NOT want open borders. and are sick of the spendathon in DC.

Janet only became interested in politics on Jan 20th 2009.

Something happened on that day that drove her to "take to the streets".

The war didn't bother her or illegal torture. Bush trounced her civil rights but she was OK with that.

Young men and woman died in Iraq but she stayed home.

But then.....Jan 20th 2009 came along and her life changed.

I wonder why?

Convenient inuendo, except in the interview she says she started on April 15 (that's Tax Day for those who don't have to pay). Maybe seeing an administration commit to more spending in three months than that spent in the previous 200 years might have had something to do with it? Nah, nobody's that thoughtful and logical, irrational racism and bigottry is obviously the real reason.

panthera50 yeah, you are right. never mind that every penny wasted by government is a penny that doesn't go to put food on your own table or help pay for shoes for your own children. look, our gov is like a being married to a spend thrift spouse. they run up the credit card over and over again, and when you finally get tired of paying it off and decide to cut it up they look at you and say, "YOU'RE SELFISH!"
