O Yes Here. This is the very Show I use To Watch A Long TIme Ago. I Loved This Mickey Mouse Club. It's Just Like I Grew Up With Them. Because I Use To Go To Ballet And Tap Danceing School Too. A Long TIme Ago In New York City.
Perhaps I am doomed to fail in my quest, but do you happen to have -- or know where I can view -- the "Talent Roundup" opening where they are all riding around with those fake little horse costumes/props over their cowboy and cowgirl outfits? I believe Friday may have been Talent Roundup Day. I have found a couple of the featured winners of the Talent Roundup doing their acts, but the actual start to the show (as I have described above) seems nowhere on the internet, and this is surprising!
@billtelfer If it hasn't been released on DVD, then don't mess with the Disney Master Plan. Consequences will be severe. Disney created Jiminy Cricket, aka J.C., Jesus Christ. Buy the Disney DVD's that have been released -- the Mousketears. That is what you need to know to save your soul. If you are still consuming animals or dairy or using any animal-cruel product. you will burn in hell. Man is the enemy, said Disney in Bambi. Believe.
my hippie gf announced to me proudly that she has friends giving up everything Disney, like it's flouride or BPA's or something toxic. too young and too stupid to realize there's more to disney than plastic made in china merchandising. those kids will never see anything can happen day !
its time for fun with music fun with music, and i cant remember the rest, but if do remember today is tuesday , you know what that means , we're gonna have a special , so get out the broom , and sweep the place clean, dum de dum, lol love these memories thanks the words had failed me somewhat, but i found myself remembering them as the song went along.
this silly comidy is epic its still funny even after soo many years and just as funny as people doing stupid stuff to get a laugh on youtube here but with lots less pain.
That wouldn't surprise me that Jay Jay became a writer. I read a memoir he wrote on a website about his experience as a Mouseketeer. It was very impressive.
Jay-Jay Solari was the Keystone Cop caught between Annette and Darlene. He isn't as well-remembered as a lot of the other Mouseketeers, but he was obviously very talented.
They ran re-runs of the original Mickey Mouse Club well into the 1960s, and I remember this one particularly well. (Annette was already doing her Beach Blanket Bingo thing by the time I got to see it.) My favorite's the "dragon in the bathtub cleaning-up!"
I remember these 1st run. I loved Dalene & Annette. This was a great show. I often wonder if this Kukla Fran & Ollie and shows like that could make it today
@DrakeGrad loved them two, too!they where the best on the show! i watched the reruns from the early 70s,my mom said i probally wouldnt like it,because it was in black and white.,,,ive been loving mmc since!! collecting darlene records now of e-bay,and would someday like to put them on you tube.have to figure it out first!
STORYJAN--I am so thankful to you for sharing these MMC video's. Brings back wonderful memories of my childhood, when life wasn't so filled with drugs, porno, bad behavior, over-sexed spoiled brats etc.. Shame more youngsters don't have people like Annette Funicello to look up to.
The 1950's looked fun, but the red scare and cold war took some of the punch out of them. I was just a little kid, so I was lucky and didn't have to worry.
LOL Doreen became a porn star lol

Jimmy Dodd in this sequence had to introduce the Mousekeeteers himself instead of letting the Mouskeeteers introduce themselves.

This is the 1956-'57 opening sequence for "Anything Can Happen Day", and the one seen in the syndicated reissues of the show in the '60s and '70s.
