It doesn't have to focus on the negative aspects unless that was part of the point. This isn't a documentary; this is a video recalling military marching music and military glory and so it's sticking to that theme.

That's not really a question. That's a statement.

As for it being a myth? No, I don't think so. They had a great military, excellent equipment (some like to say over-engineered), and good discipline. Even the best military forces can suffer miserable setbacks and defeats (Soviet Russia in Afghanistan, the US in Vietnam, etc).

Also, the "should not start something they can't finish" is, ahem, a trite remark. Yes, it holds true but that could be said of any military force. Or anyone.

You can be great and still lose. After all, if they had been such a poor military, it wouldn't have taken Soviet Russia, the United States, Great Britain, the remnants of the French Military, Canada, and Australia to defeat them.

Ultimately it came down to poor leadership on the parts of Hitler and men afraid to question his judgement or oppose his SS goons.

But had that problem been overcome? Who knows.
