@lildancerlexi Santana was outed in the previous episode (which was mainly Finn's fault but ignore that because the show did) so Finn stages a Ladies music week where they all sing songs originally sung by women to show their support and in a scene Finn tells Santana that he's worried that she'll kill herself and that she's awesome and then we get him singing this song to her.

What amazes me is that someone would feel comfortable ripping off a song that has been so widely featured since its creation 3 years ago. Greg Laswell created an original melody for his stripped-down version of the song, and it seems to me it would be in violation of copyright laws to use that melody without giving the artist any credit. Glee has so many talented musicians - why steal instead of create?

Musik, espacially a singer's voice, is not just quality and pitch. You don´t have to be a Mariah Carey or Lionel Richie to be a good singer. Musik means emotion. You have to feel something deep and special when you hear it. Finn's voice might not be the best, but he let you feel a feeling that is special and intense. Something that goes directly into your heard. And that makes him, and this song, to a wonderful and beautiful musical performance. That is real music. And that is why i love GLEE!.

I have listened to every version of this song. The original was alright. The covers, are terrible, as usual. And Miley Cyrus's was fine, but this version. This version.....Wow. The original arranger is well aware they're performing this, and he's richer for it.
