I'm blessed by ALL OF THAT... peace!

  • i LOVE it when she breaks it down in the demonstration!!! Sang girl!

  • Sounds like you doing a little PR there CurtBrian...hmmm! Go figure

  • I saw Vanessa sing in Boston at the Strand. the band was late so she sung with only the piano player, and she sing as if an orchestra was backing her. I was so amazed by her singing and God given talent.

  • * faints * smh sing mama! absolutely amazing and to the haters yes she is ministering under a heavy duty one - understand, take notes and when you have lived to do even one forth of this lady's accomplishments then come back and let us hear from you! until then stfu!

  • @soymiguelalejandro23 holla back em up off Nessa.

  • When were going through and don't know what to do nobody but jesus can see u through amen

  • Oh MY GOODNESS!! She starting ministering to me after 8 mins...saying peace be still to all of situations!! JESUS!!

  • thank you, this video is the best

  • TWINKIE AT 4:35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • THE BEST GOSPEL SINGER EVER!!!!

  • I am a singer and pride myself on being a professional and great representation of God. Man Venessa make you want to go back in the wood shed. I love it God bless you. You are the best bar non.

  • Her range never left! Riff @ 4:40-4:46 :)

  • Those Detroit women ALWAYS look nice!

  • Why this lady isnt a Billionaire escapes me completely.

  • Vanessa will go down in history as one of the greatest gospel icons that ever performed any where with her signature awesome vocal ability.

  • Wow, I think Va'nes did a good job, it's all about reaching that 1 lost soul, please quash all the negative talk about Va'nes!!!

  • they better---it's not appreciated nor welcomed here--but hey that's the side effects to the anointing: visits of the haters' convention, persecution, and jealousy

  • I hate oversinging also, but this is not oversinging. THIS IS GENIUS!!!!!!!! She is coming from a place that is so deep in the African tradition, it takes the ears of one who can transcend our colonial oppression of a white centered value system to grasp what she is summoning. GO HEAD MS. SPIRIT OF LIFE

  • that certainly puts it in a new light for me...thanks for sharing..,I will go back and listen again.

  • WOW LOL! I think I must agree with you here even though I really like her music. Then I begin to wonder if everone else needs their ears checked becuz most times when lots of our black Gospel singers do this(im black by the way)...it really doesnt sound very good AT ALL...would sound much much better and would really be more of a blessing just to sing the song NORMALLY. Almost would be comical if it wasnt sad...

  • But then again...if her name was like Donna Brown or something and most people on here heard her singing like this, they wouldn't give this clip the time of day at all and wouldn't like the way it sounds....go figure? I hope no one gets offened by what I have said here becuz I as not judging or being critical of VBA Just being honest about what my ears are hearing...

  • the thing is....NO ONE can sound like VBA.

  • That was not the point of the conversation...

  • This begs the question then what is truly anointed? I ask that because usually I find a lot of church folk who will comment here throwing the word around so casually particularly when comparing artists to put the one up on an artist they love, generally used when comparing a secular versus gospel or baptist versus pentecostal. Doesn't it still boil down to personal preference? That would certainly be the case if you had two "anointed" singers singing the same song.

  • Yes I would have to agree with you there especially taking into account the fact that lots of church folks often mistake or pass off TALENT,SKILL, and ENTERTAINMENT as anointing...Just as the Bible says..."The Enermy has done this"!

  • @CurtBrian ESPECIALLY the younger people. Some tink good runs equals anoointing . Someone actually said that it's a sound that God wants and people must tap into it

  • So sad that you would speak so lowly of such a highly regarded person who has put over 40 yrs n2 ministering through song. Just cuz it doesnt minister 2 you, doesnt mean that someone else wasn't touched. Getcha mind out of the box, & look at the folks with their hands raised, & their hearts opened... That's where it is, If it takes grunting and screaming to reach the lost, then so be it... Besides, don't nobody wanna listen to no dead ol' music, but hey, it does minister to some... soooo. lol.

  • Well said, gldnboy17!

  • So sorry, didn't mean to imply or suggest what she was doing was not effecting some...clearly that is not the case...if i offended you because it was lost on me...that was not my intention...just sharing my thoughts as you and everyone else has chosen to do... That is what makes us a special people...we don't all think alike...peace and love.

  • Because someone has different taste then you does not make them an ignoramuses...in fact for you to resort to name calling is certainly questionable...also, I don't recall questioning her conviction or her annointing. Diversity is what makes the world a good and unique place...I am glad you love her voice as it is a true instrument...others may not value the things that you value in that voice but it does not discount what you like nor does it make either person more or less.

    May God Bless Yo

  • I agree...and if my email suggested that her ministry was not anoited, then I do apologize that was not my intention...I have heard her speak and I have had the pleasure of meeting her...I am not sure if i agree her voice is not open to critique or her rendition here, I actually LOVE her studio version...I was suggesting it's such a lovely song and I enjoy hearing it sung in a very simple way. That's my taste....God Bless and thanks for the exchange..

  • Vanessa can sing and remake this a thousand times and I will still buy it. She is awesome. I ain't yet able to get down with the hair color though. I think that is more about image. She would look better with tresses and some highlights. I LOVE VANESSA!!!!!

  • I love her so much.....Before I got saved she was one that I could hear God speaking to me through her beautiful voice. I don't want to hear nobody eles tell me that you can't get saved through a song....it's the person that is delivering the message through song. Bless Jesus
