the supply and demand for drugs is all messed up. such a high demand and low supply in the US jacks up the price. The United States could be taxing the drugs. the citizens want these drugs. isn't it obvious that these drugs (just like prescription drugs) will always have a demand. a well informed individual on drugs knows which stimulants are dangerous and which hallucinogens are worth taking. hallucinogens > stimulants

It is an issue of supply and demand. Efforts should be made to decrease consume in the US as well as stop the supply.Drug addiction is a disease. In every incident of illness, you treat the symptoms and eliminate the cause. For many farmers in poor countries, it is more profit to produce drugs than non-drug crops. We need to change that.

The US should be using better educational programs to prevent people ( since they are kids ) from using drugs, How can the americans stop drugs dealers if so many people are consumers? Do not blame other countries for that. Stop the killing of so many people involved, they just want to get some money because in this other countries there are not much opportunities to get a job. You have a point. Other than 'just say no', America gives the cold shoulder when it comes to the education of illegal drugs. However, I think you're missing the big picture, and trust me it's more of a mural filled with hidden corruption even in America. The drug war's ruthless and unmerciful hand targets everyone, not just kids. The fact is that the drug war is there and frankly 'just say no' or 'take a good look at yourself' isn't going to cut it.

Fully agree with legal Marijuana, and not just becaus im from Holland.

The current goverment here in Holland has worked against the Coffeshops last years and the result is: more street dealing, more hard drugs (cause street dealing makes that easier), and ofcourse more trouble in the streets.

In the Dutch coffeeshops you can buy only a limited ammount, you have to ID yourself and the goverment earns allot from it, and you wont find the violence that you find with street dealing.

I don't use it, and I do not see anything keeping the laws that are in place in existence. You should really take the time to 1. Try the "Drug" in a safe controlled environment 2. Get a good look at the "information" from both sides of the debate 3. Go to your local Med school / Practitioner and talk to a doctor about the effects you had and what as a doctor thinks about the "Drug"

If you check the drug policy in Holland most drugs is legal for private use only. Weed for example you can buy at the coffee shop and get taxed. We have one of the lowest crime rate & prison rate in the world.
