The tune (not the voice) lacks in "sadness" and color though.. due to the significant absence of D- (and C- G- in some smaller part of the chorus).

But honestly i was very touched by your cover... by far the best i ve seen sofar... i thank you Sir !

Unless you're planning on being a star of stage and screen, most guitarist/vocalists sing looking down to get into the music. Dire straits wrote some anthological pieces of music. They did lots of money after but they were of that category who didn't only do music for money and/or fame.
