  • How is the latency with this setup?

Does it have to be a special sound card? do you need to run a real-time linux kernel?

  • @echelecopao Latency was set at 8ms I think, or maybe 4ms. I used an Edirol UA-25 which is a USB soundcard that has guitar inputs. In order to achieve a system latency below 10ms on this netbook I had to use a real-time kernel.

  • cool, hadnt heard about rakarrack before, i'll check it out, thanks. i like the music too =) are you in a band?

  • @nickleus1977 Thanks! And yes, I'm in several bands. In this case I was rehearsing with Soda P (search YouTube for Soda P tourdiary pt.2).

  • That's ok Louigi, the vid shows Rakarrack being used in a very conventional way and the music itself is just us fooling around a bit. I'm eager to know how you use it, I have the idea you layer more, as in using multiple instances.

  • Somehow does not impress me. I guess it is because, as an electronic musician, I tend to use things not in a way they were designed ))) So my Rakarrack sounds very differently. I will have to make a recording of how I work with it.

  • @LouigiVerona YOU dont impress me much. You are a fool to NOT see the possibilities this has to offer. rock on dude~

  • @analyzingfunny I do use them, but I use them in a different way. You are free to venture to my profile and look at my latest video which shows how I use Rakarrack with a vocoder.
