  • I bought my park zone spitfire a week ago for my birthday present, and maiden it today. Unfortunately it wouldn't lift up when launched! finally after a while I managed to launch it fast enough for it to fly, although it still didn't gain any altitude I circled once at about 8 ft and then crashed:( during construction, I noticed there was a gap between the wing and fusualarge. It still attached but I was wondering if perhaps there was some air resistance which caused the crash. advice?

  • @TheRedDal3k hi what you need to do is the battery that come with model is only a nikel you need to convert your spitfire to lipo witch should be coverd by your instruction manual on how to program the lipo up the lipo battery what you will need to use is 1800mah 18c 11.1v and also a lipo charger when you have done this mod your spitfire will fly like a dream and with plenty of power.matt from aero-models-electric

  • @matthew11243 hi, i am planning to upgrade my spitfire to lipo from nickel but i have lost my instruction manual from a cross country move. does a manual come with the battery and charger package? or is there an online website that i can view the spits manual from?

  • Beautiful flying! Great landing too. Nice video!

  • me mates added a BL to oen of these, 990KV 600 size outrunner, shes heavy as a brick but does in excess of 110km

  • scale flying?

  • is it fully stock in the video?

  • no, he has added a spektrum receiver and by the looks a different prop

  • @156TYSON No. I fitted 1000kv brushless motor.

  • i just ordered this plane its coming tommorow from gws company, do u need to buy extra parts.

    nice plane it goes fast

  • if its a parkzone, man youll love it....

  • GWS and ParkZone are two different things.

  • this plane looks great like all other park zone warbirds do ....... but is this plane suited to a kid who is going to fly for his first time because it looks difucult

  • Hi,

This is a great plane to fly AFTER you have

learnt the basics on a trainer.

I recommend you find the nearest model

flying club and get some advice from them.

  • Hi, am from Perth too. Have a modded PZ t28 with a power 10, 30amp esc, FP evo25 1800. Whilst it has unlimited vertical the size of the body restricts its speed. Does ~85km (est). Had a brain wave today for more speed, buy a spitfire and do exactly what you've done :) what sort of speed you get? is faster than my t28

  • Hi,

I fly with WARS in Yokine and fellow members tell me it looks like about 70 kph but I haven't put a radar gun on it to know for sure. others have put more powerful motors in but I don't want it too fast because the flying area at Curtin isn't that large.

With my setup it won't stay vertical but it can go vertical for short bursts (as in the video).

  • Hello, is very good yor plane, my name is Jose and I have a electric Spitfire with the argentinian colours made for me, if you can find put "aeromodelismo en tabernas 2". Thank you!!

  • what's your set-up?

  • I have a 1000 kv brushless swinging a 9x6 prop

pulls about 18 amps at full throttle.

Battery is an 1800 mah lipo. After 6 mins

of flying there is about 3.8 volts left in each cell.

I made the engine mount by cutting the gear

box off the original engine mount and then

bolted 10mm thick section of PVC onto the mount and then bolted then engine to that.

That way I have exactly the same thrust line as the original motor.

  • Hi CaptBiggles. Just purchased one of these and i was wondering how i was going to put my brushless in and you have given me a good idea but just wondering if your motor is an outrunner or inrunner mine is an outrunner how do you mount the pvc to the original mount and then the outrunner any info would be great thanks.

  • @narnyslip I cut the gearbox off the original mount and then glued

a piece of plastic the right thickness (to get the prop shaft so it is in the right

place for the spinner). I bolted the motor to the pvc plate.
