  • I see a problem with applying this method in a treated lumber application. Since deckboard spacing is required to use this tool I see very large gaps between the boards when factoring in shrinkage.

  • @FastPonyGT Great observation! This is true if you use ordinary treated lumber, we recommend using EcoLife treated Stabilized Weather-Resistant Wood. Find the EcoLife website for more information and see the youtube video at the bottom of the home page.

  • @TheDeckstore Thanks! I use no less than a #1 grade for decking material when the homeowner's budget won't allow for anything else. We do allow the material to acclimate, but even then there is shrinkage (1/16"-1/8"), albeit minimal. And with the Camo tool spacing factored in a 1/2' gapping between the boards would be likely (video would seem to confirm this). Although I may be splitting hairs, most of my owner's prefer less than more, so installers be careful!

  • Great product bought one from Thedeckstoreonline when it arrived i ripped open the box and went to work and BAM my decks floor was done the very next day.
