I have one exactly the same. It's a late '74 model registered in March '75. There is an aweful lot of confusion between the S and the J models. The J model came out in October '75 and has the disc brake. My one, someone had fitted the disc brake, but I am converting it back to drum. The mechanical disc brake, I have been told is useless. I was lucky to snap my one up for just over 200 pounds, although in need of restoring. They sound beautiful and hopefully it will turn a few heads when done.
How much do you reckon it cost to restore.
I have the same model and year and am starting to restore. Nice job on yours its a beauty!!
