  • WAS THAT ME????? IVE BEEN THERE DONE THAT... SEVERAL TIMES....

  • Shoulda got a new allison transmission xP

  • lol i kno this was a looooong time ago!!!! but how did the bus get stuck, isnt this a highway coach, why is it offroading hahaha!!???

  • LoL wait.. am I seeing this right? The passengers are helping to get a bus they paid to use out of the mud?

  • Why don't they carry chains?

  • DEFLATE THE TAG BAGS, IDIOT! I swear, they'll let anyone drive a bus these days.

  • Why did he drive there in the first place?

  • DETROIT WINS AGAIN

  • What kind of retard does that with a bus !?!?

  • Series 60s are unstoppable- on pavement.

  • whos stupid idea was it to park such a heavy bus in such a muddy field where sinking was a high risk?

  • This looks like a job for TireBoss.... I wonder if they couldn't have aired down the tires to plant them better?

  • and the chains didnt go on the tires why? they work alot better on them than under.

  • А зачем он задом полез в болото? Проверка на проходимость?

  • afence?? ah just patitoss'' jejeje

  • ну пендосы и придурки)))))

  • duh empty the tag axle air all wieght on drives newby

  • @robh009 That solves everything doesn't it? It's quite clear you've never driven a bus nor were you there. Thanks for the commentary newbie.

  • Well lets see ....CDL... I own an MCI... licensed for triples how about you? it was just a comment get over it

  • @robh009 I own an MC9 see my vids. I have a Class A too same endorsements. I've been in slick conditions before in a bus and dumping the tag did not help when you have worn steer tires, even with tread they just don't grip. Don't call me a 'newby' and whine when I call you a newbie right back.

  • @studpuppy69 He's right, idiot. You've obviously never driven an MCI, have you? That's why they have air cutoffs to the tag airbags.

  • lmfao buses are for people who cant afford gas

  • @walle000 Better get used to it more and more people are taking the bus. Just looked the North East region of the USA, trains and buses are leading the way.

  • @studpuppy69 hell of alot cheaper, than even my motorcycles. cause i can fall asleep at 60mph and make progress on my trips

  • wow stupid drivers lol i would have just chained up

  • On the final attempt was the wheel on the other side spinning or was that the automatic transmission slipping? And it seemed like the first times the driver wasn't very aggressive when hitting the gas.

  • So did the person who paid for the even get it for free?

  • Comment removed

  • @citaro31 Are you that arrogant or just retarded?? How can someone rear end someone? How can someone slip and fall? Maybe the bus sank into it. You don't know, I'll let the rest of youtube judge you by your comment.

  • @studpuppy69 Ok, you must be the driver. Congratulations for this!

  • @citaro31 Well, I see you removed your OWN comment. You just proved my point. Thank you.

  • there was enough off them ..it would have been faster to push it out....

  • @duffmanohya3 I'm sure Clark Kent would have gotten it out.

  • I am suprised the driver didn't help. Did you guys let air out of the tires too? Usually that is the first step since it gives you more rubber on the ground. Any vehicle with air brakes should have a place to hook a hose and inflate them back up.

  • Chubby dudes are so goofy looking ......go get your asses in the gym!

  • @dawsomd1 Really? Go post some videos so we can evaluate you.

  • @studpuppy69 Oh Im a little bit worried that you checked to see if I have vids. Especially after I tell you that you need to get your asses in the gym...Makes me doubt your hedro sexual dredentials!

  • @dawsomd1 Yes, lets go back to Middle School and call each other fags.

  • Retards

  • @MegaMichael1973 Schmuck.

  • 1:11 nice ass shot lol

  • that must be greyhound's shortbus

  • haha reminds me when I got my bus stuck in the mud lol

  • It's a Greyhound... again...

  • Or at least traction control!

  • Co on chcial kurwa zrobic z ta deska ?:D

  • Ive driven alot of D4500's and have never seen a tag unload...

  • The valves are in the RH service compartment near the dump valve. I guess they figured with the self steering tag axle there was no need to dump the air, like on the Van Hools for example, or Prevosts which have a lift axle.

  • How the fuck did that happen?

  • not stupid driver more like stupid mike

  • how the driver should hav been lookin in his mirrors till some one gav him the go ahead besides id see him under there

  • would have helped if the other back tires were spinning

  • the other back tires are a tag axle , no power to them .they just go along for the ride.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only bonehead ever to do this to a Greyhound bus.....And i'm twice as glad none of my passengers got the ordeal on video!!!!

(If I'd only remembered the rear axle unload I would've freed myself.)

  • There's a lot of "engineers" there...

  • tobad stupid lil mike didnt get run over...

  • I know right he had a hot girl friend.

  • looks like a fun day

  • nice greyhouse bus burnout

  • Looks like some big boned guys, why didn't ya'll get a chain or tie the tire cables together to make a long tow strap and pull that sucker, at least help it, it only needed a little boost. OR, take out all of them fag earings and studs and throw them under the tires, that would work for sure.

  • i tell ya what ya hear why not tie a bunch a sheets together and use it as a tow strap, or take out all dem fag earin's and studs I reckond that might do the trick, I tell you what. Slow down now i'm coming with my tractor...

  • Greyhound sucks. It's always off schedule, the drivers suck, and it's always crowded with trash.

  • Yup. Now, Meet the NEW Greyhound!

  • I agree some of the drvers suck, but those of us who pull a schedule on time or even early never get recoginized. The trash comes from your fellow passengers. if I have trash and dont want it in my windshiekd I atleast put it in the step well so I grab it on the way out.

  • So basically you are saying if any one has to take a bus ride soon be sure to book with Greyhound?

  • Yes, leave the behind schedule, driving half on the shoulders, and bullshit to us.

  • Greyhound does suck but I still love it.

One time I was on a greyhound from Toronto to Calgary (wintertime) and our bus broke down in Marathon, Ontario.

Another time we were going Edmonton>Toronto and when we left Sudbury (I beleive) after break stop. I noted another older bus there as well. 2 hours later (it was already dark) our driver gets radioed. That other bus broke down, so we had to turn back and come back all the way. It broke a few meters from where it was stopped. Trans failed.

  • We just need more rail connections in N. America. We also need a mag lev or bullet train. N. America is so far behind on mass transit that it isn't even funny.

  • North America is behind on quite a few things. It will be interesting to see what happens in the near future.

  • its nice to see special ed students in such good spirit

  • How the hell did that happen? Offroading in a bus, lol

  • this may also help you, next time dont park your bus in the mud

  • oooh at about 49 seconds it was almost going to come out of the whole but I guess the weight of the bus was too much for the wheels to carry up?

  • The wheels on the other side were not getting traction.

  • правда, америкосы реально тупые!!!

Сдесь работы на 5 минут! видели бы они как в Россий водители рулят

  • I totally agree with 125sloth. Someone could've been killed while moving a 15 ton bus. The driver should've paid more attention where he/she was parking.

  • Smoke is caused by heat. Excessive heat can cause a tire to blow. i have seen it happen in situations like this on large vehicles. There only has to be an imperfection in the tire and its off to hospital for those standing near it.

  • It would have to be spinning for a long time to make it blow. Before that would happen something else would probably give way.

  • This might be funny but the driver has a duty of care to see that any effort by other people is supervised and complies with workplace saftey, as the bus is a workplace legally. He should NOT have other people doing what they did, someone could have been injured or even kiiled if a tire blew off, due to his stupid use of the throtte. Idiot. Typical Greyhound. Stupid drivers.

  • A little smoke never causes a tire to blow.

  • where was this takin

  • Poor doggie got his paws stuck in the mud!

  • look at fatty with no shirt 3:03

  • wow you cant drive you all suck and how the fuck did you get in there

  • As motor coach driver and I am appalled that the driver was not outside helping you guys like he should have been. You guys are great sports for helping the driver get unstuck but he should never had put you guys in that dangerous position. He/she should have been out getting dirty in the mud putting the tire chains one. You guys are the paying customer and should be given safe reliable service.

  • That's why Prevost are better because you can lift the tag wheel with a flip of the switch in the cab.

  • really? how so?

  • Comment removed

  • Bud I've been driving Prevosts for almost ten years now and everyone I have driven including the 1991 LeMirage Xl I drive now, the tag wheels come all the way up off the ground. In fact you can actually turn the wheel with your hand when it's up.

  • You are correct. MCI and Van Hool only dump some or all the air from the tag, NOT raise it. Prevost raises.

  • Yeah, one of the advantages to a Prevost is, if you get a flat on one of your tag tires, you just have flip a switch and your good to go. Of course it helps to find the the fuse for the tag alarm so you don't have to hear that annoying beeping lol.

If you get a flat on the tag tire of MCI, you have to dump the air out of the tag axle then back the coach up on to a curb so the tag wheels lift up, then use special chains to chain up the tags so they stay raised. A lot of work

    PREVOST RULES

  • Nah, that only works on the older MCI's, the newer tags it doesnt work. The old tags are only rated for 6k pounds.

  • Actually you're right. In fact when I was working for Brewster Transportation in Banff Alberta Canada, part of the driver training was chaining up the tag axle on a MCI and it was an older MCI

  • my bad, shouldnt have believe the mechanic whos never driven, got in our new prevost and flipped the lever, and it came up...my E doesnt tho...unloads, but doesnt lift. thats ok though, it will out steer a Prevost by alot. The le mirage....the prevost with a ton of windows, looks like a space ship landed right? was parked next to one in dc 3 days ago...one of the ugliest busses ive ever seen...but i digress, greyhound has gone to all prevost.

  • True, the Le Mirages are an interesting coach. You either love 'em or ya hate 'em. I love them, they look very elegant to me and passengers love them. I've driven a lot of stuff old and new. Nothing compares to a 1991 Prevost Le Mirage XL. They ride and handle like a sports car, they are the only manual transmission coach to have a hydraulic clutch and shift linkage. Most of them including mine have the DD8V92 which is both super charged and turbo charged with ratings up to 475hp.

    I

  • drive a new mci e with independant suspension....a new kind of bus. i suspect thats why so many people wreck them, not enough body roll for the driver to realize they need to back out of it...where as the older ones you know where you are at. The 8v92 is not a bad engine, but cant go wrong with the series 60 either. we are going to all zf transmissions at this point, and after this year detroit will not be an option, they wont be offered.

  • I have driven the E series, they are a great coach. A great coach to drive is the Setra S417 HDH. Awesome coach, combines the best of a Prevost and MCI.

Ah yes the 10 speed zf transmission. They take getting used to. People think it is an automatic transmission but it is not. It is a computer controlled manual transmission. The driver has to think "manual" when driving and not just mindlessly thromp on the accelerator pedal. I find they accelerate quite quickly once you know how to do it.

  • So true. the Setra 417 HDH is the top coach. The smoothest riding coach. And will turn on a dime. And yea alot of drivers dont understand or know how to work the 10 speed ZF transmission. Which results in a slow ruff take offs and a jerky stop. I love it tho. But my top 3 coaches are 1. Stra 417 .. 2. Prevost H345 3. MCI E/J 4500 ...

personally the worst bus to me is a MCI DL3. Yea they may be a long haul bus. But to me it aint worth shit except for its long haul stability

  • Disagree, the DL3 is my favorite. It takes a man to drive an MCI lol. If your over weight, they arent for you, if you dont like maneuvering in tight spaces, not for you. I love the way they ride. Con's low baggage compartments, turning radius, if your fat your on top the steering wheel. Love the DL3!

  • They also have a high resale vale and are reliable.

But without a doubt one of the best buses MCI put out was the MC-9 Crusader II

Great bus, solid as a rock

  • DL3 is terrible. Im not worried bout the drivers area cause im not fat. But the con's you listed is enuff not to buy it. And you love the way they ride? I see your old school . A DL3 ride cant compare to a Setra 417 or E/J4500 or a Prevost. MCI will even tell you that you not going to get the same ride as in a E4500 or J4500. But hey if you like that DL3 thats great. Cause you can have it .

  • When it comes to driving a true standard transmission once you've driven the 1991 and up Lemirage XL you'll never go back. Prevosts are very forgiving they shift like butter and the hydraulic clutch is amazing. Even if you are a little off in your rpm split with a Prevost you can still "finesse" the gear in smoothly. MCI's are stubborn you have to be dead on. If you are even off by 1 or 2 rpm a typical up shift will go like this, "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrind-*CLUNK*

I still like the DL's though.

  • I disagree. We have the 12 speed ZFs I've never driven the 10 but know it would be faster than the 12. Light throttle, full throttle, manual shifting, starting off in 4th gear, shifting at the sweet spot not the redline to get peak torque, dog slow. We have some C13/ZF 12 speeds that take 40 seconds to hit 50 MPH, they are turned down so much manually holding it wont do it either.

  • Don't you hate it when they tune them down like that? As a driver trainer I think its a safety issue because when they de-tune the engine they are taking control the bus from the driver. The bus should be tuned like it was when it came from the factory

    I feel your pain.

  • Interesting, I've never driven the 12spd. But I found what helped me when I drove the 10 speed zf is that I would fluctuate the accelerator just like I was driving a real standard tranny with a clutch pedal and stick. I would rev up to 1750 then release the throttle and the tranny would upshift, then immediately I would repeat the process with the throttle all over again. With a little practice I was able to get through my upshifts very fast and accelerate very quickly.

  • Which is so true. ALot of drivers dont know how to release it. They feel they just hold the gas pedal like its a regular automatic. And they wont get nowhere like that. It will take them forever to gain speed

  • Agreed. Here's an interesting fact, if you drive a ZF properly and you drive by someone it actually sounds to them like you are driving a real manual transmission coach. When I was driving the new H3-45 with the 10spd and the series 60 I would bring my rpm up to 1750 then let of the throttle, imagine in my mind that I was double clutching and moving the gear shift lever to the next gear then I would bring the rpm back up to 1750 repeating the process through all the upshifts.

  • This may help you. Remember the Caterpillar engine is designed to reach peak torque in the low rpm band, I think 1250. Try this when accelerating, bring your rpm up to 1300 or 1400 rpm then release the throttle, then imagine your self double clutching and moving an imaginary gearshift lever to the next gear, then put your foot back on the throttle bring your rpm back up to 1400 and repeat the process all over again.

I used to hate the ZF until I was shown this technique, now I quite like it.

  • The shift pads are stupidly placed on next to the guages. I have a CLASS A CDL, I've tryed that technique the transmission is not very smart and doesnt know what your trying to do. Even shifting manually, instead of shifting at the governed 2,100 RPM, trying 1,600 - 1,800 still not as fast or smooth as a real 10 speed.

  • I feel for ya my friend. That must be frustrating. You must want to rip your hair out.

  • the motor in the bus it a series 69 detroit diesel, but if ur talking about in another kind of situation-thats ok, then nevermind me :)

  • I'd like to try the VOLVO I-Shift, it sounds alot quicker and smoother.

  • did they let the air out of the trailing axle, helps alot in slippery conditions like snow.

  • how the bus get there??

  • Did they air down the tag axle? sometimes that helps.

  • why didnt he just drive on the road, you know, instead of off-roading it for a faster trip.

  • was it a woman driver??

  • Indeed

  • Awsome!

  • That's kinda cool. all pitched in. good thing it wasn't the looney bus headed to the asylum.

  • not to smart parking the coach in the mud, hopefully she wont do that again & way to go greyhound riders!

  • Did you get a free fare for doing that?

  • Sexy guys!

  • wtf? where'd they get that fence? roflmao nice job

  • Well, I'd rather have this happen, than the OTHER incident.

    (lol @ greyhound burnout!)

  • the question is...what the hell is a greyhound bus doing in the mud??

  • for the sound of engine i don t think this is a series 60, the sound is more like old two strokes engine, like 8V71 and 8V92

  • It sound's nothing like a two stroke, this is a Detroit Diesel Series 60. Search for a two stroke clip on you tube, I can assure you this is a Series 60.

  • You are correct. These coaches have the Series 60 in them.

  • Leave the driving to them, HA!

  • why not put the chain aroun the wheel

  • The bus dont know the year, probably either a 96 or 97.

  • All that manpower you could have pushed it out.

  • Your not pushing a 34,000 pound bus out of the mud.

  • They weigh more then that!

  • Okay, SO how did this happen? I mean could the driver not see the tall grass, which would mean Swamp? I mean if the area you pulled the chain fence is any thing like what he backed into he should of know he was parking on a Swamp. GEE let me think a 30k bus in swampy mud what do i think will happen? I am not going to get stuck or anything. And I would of knocked the dude ou for nearly running over you buddy! that was stupid.
