  • Great Instructional and smooth presentaion of the XDM. I known an XDM-9 myself and your right on all points!!!! Great purchase!!!!!

  • What about the barrel???

  • @guty2527 - I don't own a .40 XDm so I can't compare the two. The .45 is definitely a handful. I use the smallest back strap and it would feel too large if it were any bigger. As for size I always opt for the largest frame pistol unless you're looking for a carry option. Thanks for watching.

  • LOVE THIS GUN!!!

  • first let me say "thanks for the military service " , if the trigger was more on the 7 lbs. side would that have made a big difference, and can you send it back and ask for a sub 5 lbs trigger?

  • good looking gun.

  • Is this a DAO or SAO?

  • @xmmh - Since the XDs are "striker fired" weapons I don't consider them either double or single action. They are a unique type of semi-auto that don't use hammers. I believe the Glock was the first to use this type of action...thanks for watching!

  • @sharkzf6 it should be noted that they are classed as a single action only in competition.

  • @KSIFLYBOY - Thanks for the info KS! I'm not a competitive shooter but I do appreciate the heads-up on that issue. Thanks for watchin brother!

  • Thanks for the video, liked it! Btw, where did you get the grid sheet, pad from?

  • You sound like an infomatial Guy !

  • Who cares a bout old Glock stop bringing up that piece of old technology...palin Jane with too much exposure to Hollywood

  • Great video ! Does the XMD45 comes with Trijicon sights std and can it handle P+ ammo. Thanks

  • can you use glock 21 magazines on this

  • @yuancg - No. Glock magazines and XD magazines are completely different...

  • So lucky to be in America, the extra magazines offer is apparently not allowed for Canada by the American Gov't. :-(

  • I would like to were did you get your xdm gunsmith mat.

  • @001rudedawg - I got the pad at a local gun show, I've seen them at every gun show since. They make'em for several guns including Colt 1911 and Glock. Thanks for watchin!

  • I must disagree sir, the megaloc grip is great however if your hands get wet you may need to adjust before the mag is spent. I found the Decal grip for 8$ fixed that issue while increasing the grip (probably wouldnt use it in a conceal carry set up) I LOVE my xdm 45. I love the XDM's soo much I have two. I have a bi-tone 45 4.5" and a black 3.8 compact in 9mm

  • @xxcaseyballardxx - they are great guns! thanks for watching...

  • How does the XDM 40 compare in recoil to the 45? I know my have is having issues with my XDM as the 40 cartridge can be a bit snappy. I'm thinkin bout getting the XDM 9 for her but really want the 45 hoping she can control the recoil hehe. Let me know your thoughts. thanks

  • @MrCleanerNash - since you asked I'll give you MY opinion. The 9mm is a much better choice for folks who shy away from hard hitting rounds like the .40 and .45. Some would say the .45 is better due to the "push" vs. the "snap" of the .40. I disagree, the .45 is a very loud, hard recoiling cartridge in any pistol. Not recommended for new shooters at all. Just my opinion and thanks for watching brother!

  • @sharkzf6 I appreciate your feedback...I think 20 rds of defensive 9mm should do the job. My wife needs more control and I think the XDM9 will provide that for her. Thanks

  • @sharkzf6 Picked up an XDM9 BiTone for the wife. Thinking about trading my XDM40 for the 45 now. Thanks

  • I just bought my XDm .45 three days ago, and I couldn't put it down. I've already put over 1000 rounds through it, about 850 in one day, and no failures. I didn't even clean and lubricate it after I got it, and it shot flawlessly. At 25 meters, I was within 4-6 inches of my target. Perfect gun.

  • I am curious; have you owned any of the Glock 30's or 21's and if so how did they compare?

  • @retthok - All my Glocks past and present have been .40 caliber. I have test fired a Glock 21. That was back when most of my handguns were 1911s so I was not very impressed. The trigger sucks compared to the 1911. Thanks for watching...

  • @retthok i have a glock 30 as well as the XDM .45 and i'm a bigger fan of the XDm

  • @folker - I conceal carry the XD(m) on a daily basis. I have had it now for a couple months and I am pleased with how easy it is to conceal it on my small body. BTW, I have put almost 1000 rounds through my XD(m) .45 without a single failure.

  • great video.

  • HS2000 is dicks.

Also, trigger discipline, muzzle discipline. You need work.

  • @Soljer - Glad to see an expert like you cares enough about the rest of us. I checked your channel, of course there were no videos of anything worth commenting on because are obviously a child hiding in your mommy's basement. Come on out here to the high desert and I'll teach you something about trigger and muzzle discipline you stupid gun-nanny! One moron officially blocked...

  • 2002

  • any plans on carrying the xdm?

  • @follker - I open carry the weapon a lot when I'm away from the city, but it's too large to carry concealed for me. thanks for watching

  • XDm 45, nice !

  • Nice Review. I'm looking to buy my first handgun I have been looking at the Springfield XDM .45. A lot of great information. Can't wait until I can actually shoot one. Thanks.

  • nice review, valid points well done!
